You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the car’s actual condition and equipment. Focus on maintenance records, tire and brake wear, and any signs that the car has been used heavily despite its upscale presentation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X1?

• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.43% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 BMW X1's resale value?

The current average of $34,528 sits slightly below last year's $36,899.

That price movement suggests the model has softened enough to help you buy more carefully today. If you plan to sell later, the current market gives you a reasonable baseline, but you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is equipped. A clean, well-maintained example should hold up better than one with visible wear or incomplete service history.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X1 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.43% compared with last year.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $30,637, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $34,528 average.
• It offers fun driving and useful cargo space.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2024 if you want the stronger current-market balance of pricing, inventory, and clean listings. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2023 is the better value path and still gives you a compelling small luxury crossover experience.
