Used 2024 BMW 7 Series for Sale nearRochester, NY

How much does the 2024 BMW 7 Series cost?

Prices have softened 15.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 639 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare trims and equipment.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series a good car?

With a 3.5/5 user rating and an expert rating of 6.67/10, the 2024 BMW 7 Series looks strongest if you want a full-size luxury sedan that prioritizes breadth of capability over simplicity. The model aims to blend luxury, speed, and efficiency, and it backs that up with a spacious, luxurious cabin and potent powertrain options.

The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Safety.

Its biggest strengths are the roomy, upscale interior and the available powertrains, including a plug-in hybrid that adds efficiency and strong straight-line performance. The trade-offs are just as clear: the digital systems are frustratingly complex, and the PHEV’s driving feel is uneven around town.

For buyers who want a high-end sedan with broad capability, that mix can still make sense. If you want a flagship that feels impressive in motion and loaded with features, this one fits the brief, though the market still shows 37.6% of listings as good or great deals.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is presented as a robust, well-engineered flagship with smooth, reliable driver-assistance systems and strong crash-structure fundamentals. BMW’s electronic warning systems work unobtrusively and are described as good at detecting pedestrians and hazards.

The performance side also supports confidence in day-to-day use: the powertrains are potent, the standard air suspension helps the car feel composed, and the systems operate smoothly and reliably. The plug-in hybrid adds complexity, though, and its stop-and-go behavior is less polished than the rest of the lineup.

BMW also says the 750e can charge on a Level 2 AC charger in a little over three hours, and the plug-in setup adds efficiency without changing the car’s basic luxury mission. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the most advanced versions bring more complexity, so condition and maintenance history matter more than they would on a simpler sedan.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on cars with more advanced options or the plug-in hybrid powertrain. Focus on how the infotainment, driver-assistance features, and cabin electronics operate, since this model leans heavily on digital controls. Also pay attention to trim-specific equipment, because some desirable features are reserved for higher-priced versions or option packages.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin can be configured with more than 15 colors and patterns, and the car offers standout luxury touches such as a rear-seat theater screen, panoramic sunroof with patterned ambient lighting, and upscale materials including Merino leather and Cashmere wool blend. Base versions are less likely to include the most dramatic rear-seat and luxury features, so check carefully for the equipment you want.
• Powertrain: You can shop a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, or a plug-in hybrid that pairs the six-cylinder with an electric motor and battery pack. The 750e is the efficiency play, but it also has the most complicated driving character.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. The Premium package adds surround-view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and automated parking assist, while the Driving Assistance Professional Package adds partially automated active driving assistant and highway assistant with limited hands-free capability.
• Infotainment: The curved display combines a 12.3-inch driver’s screen with a 14.9-inch infotainment display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but they cannot control most vehicle functions, and the system is heavily menu-driven.
• Fuel efficiency: The 750e is rated at 65 MPGe and 25 mpg combined on gas, while the 740i returns 28 mpg combined, or 27 mpg with AWD, and the 760i returns 20 mpg combined.

Which 2024 BMW 7 Series trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is offered in 4 trim levels: 740i, 740i xDrive, 750e xDrive, 760i xDrive.

Here's the short version:

• 740i: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core 7 Series experience with the turbocharged inline-six, rear-wheel drive, and the broad luxury cabin. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable adding options selectively.
• 740i xDrive: This is the best-value trim. It adds all-wheel drive and is called out as the lineup’s best value, making it the smart pick if you want the most balanced mix of price, traction, and everyday usability.
• 750e xDrive: Choose this if you want the plug-in hybrid’s stronger power and efficiency, plus electric driving capability. It is quicker and more efficient than the 740i, but it also costs more and is fussier to drive around town.
• 760i xDrive: This is the top-drawer choice if you want the most vigorous performance and the most exclusive luxury options, including features such as two-tone paint or Cashmere wool interior. It is the most expensive path and the one for buyers who want the fullest expression of the car.

BMW’s best driver-assistance systems still cost extra, so check whether the Premium package or Driving Assistance Professional Package is included on any used example you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 7 Series?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough discounting to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 639 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $68,125, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $68,143 sits slightly below last year's $80,761.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a used buyer. If you plan to resell later, though, the same trend means you should expect continued value pressure, especially on higher-priced trims and heavily optioned examples.

The good news is that the current pricing is already well below the prior-year average, so you may be entering at a more favorable point than early owners did. The caution is that flagship luxury sedans often lose value quickly, so buying the right trim at the right price matters more than chasing the most expensive configuration.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series safe?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series has not yet been crash-tested by either the IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

BMW equips the car with a strong standard safety suite that includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. If you want more advanced capability, the Premium package adds surround-view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and automated parking assist, while the Driving Assistance Professional Package adds partially automated active driving assistant and highway assistant with limited hands-free capability.

The main caveat is that the most advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so you need to verify package content on any used example. Even so, BMW says the systems work smoothly and reliably, which is reassuring for daily use.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.62% compared with last year.
• BMW added the plug-in hybrid 750e and lightly updated the infotainment system.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $61,719, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $68,143 average.
• It blends comfort, luxury, and performance with strong ride quality and handling.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year updates and a broader current-market selection, the 2024 is the better target. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable giving up the 2024’s updates, the 2023 is the more budget-friendly path.
