Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series a good car?

Yes — the 2024 BMW 4 Series earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out for blending premium equipment with a distinctive design that is more dramatic than the related 3 Series sedan, while still sharing much of its mechanical and interior hardware with that familiar BMW. For you, that means the appeal is not just style; it also brings a well-equipped cabin and a sporty luxury-coupe or convertible feel. With 34.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 BMW 4 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 BMW 4 Series is described as a familiar BMW underneath, with shared mechanical and interior parts from the contemporary 3 Series, which supports confidence in the basic package. It also comes with a strong standard equipment list, including LED headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, and satellite navigation. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying premium-car money for a model whose styling and equipment level can vary a lot by trim and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report to confirm the car’s background and make sure the listing matches the seller’s claims. Then prioritize a close inspection of the exterior, interior, and electronics, since this model is positioned as a premium car and condition can have a big effect on value. Focus on signs of wear, prior damage, and whether the equipment still works as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 4 Series?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what you want.

• Deal availability: 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,151 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.81% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,661, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 4 Series's resale value?

The current average of $42,661 sits slightly below last year's $45,295.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you a better entry point now than a year ago. For a future seller, that can mean less immediate upside if prices stay soft, but it also shows the model still holds a meaningful share of its value relative to its premium positioning. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you improve your odds of protecting resale value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 4 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2024’s stronger market position and broad availability.
