That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is presented when you list it. If you keep the vehicle clean, documented, and accident-free, you give yourself a better chance of holding value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Audi S5 Sportback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and owner satisfaction, the 2024 is the primary year to target. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the benefits of this year's market balance.
