How much does the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 6.10% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,099 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth handling, great mileage, and strong safety features, and many also like its comfort and style. That fits well if you want a compact, practical daily driver with standard all-wheel drive and useful everyday utility. With 36.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers highlighting its smooth handling, strong safety features, and overall ease of living with it. That kind of feedback suggests the Crosstrek is the sort of vehicle many owners feel comfortable counting on day to day. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure a specific example has been well maintained and not worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, even if the market looks clean overall. Prioritize a careful inspection of the body, interior, and mechanical condition so you can spot signs of wear, prior damage, or poor upkeep. Focus especially on how the vehicle presents in person, since condition can vary even within a strong inventory pool.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,099 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.10% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,297, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $23,297 sits slightly below last year's $24,810.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle, but it also means future resale gains may be more measured if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, condition and mileage will matter a lot, especially because buyers tend to respond well to well-kept examples in this segment. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to move on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.10% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,126, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,297 average.
• It adds a new Wilderness trim for more off-road capability.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2023 if you want the better value and a strong mix of owner satisfaction, inventory, and softer pricing. If you are willing to spend more for added capability and newer features, the 2024 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the smarter starting point.
