Used 2023 Nissan Rogue for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2023 Nissan Rogue cost?

Prices have softened 5.32% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 9,761 listings available, which suggests you should have a healthy number of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Nissan Rogue earns 4.31/5 from owners and 6.67/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Look and feel at 8/10.

Owners commonly praise the spacious interior, safety features, fuel economy, comfortable ride, and modern technology. The Rogue’s use-case appeal is strongest if you want a compact crossover that feels family-friendly and well equipped for everyday driving.

The trade-offs are the CVT’s noisy, sometimes underpowered behavior and the value-for-money question raised by the test team. Even so, the market still shows 39.1% of listings as good or great deals, which keeps it in the conversation for shoppers who want a practical SUV with broad appeal.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue reliable?

Owners rate it 4.31/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling package with a comfortable ride, strong safety equipment, and fuel economy that many shoppers appreciate. The expert drive notes also describe the Rogue as composed and consistent in everyday use, which supports the impression that it’s easy to live with over time.

Nissan’s VC-Turbo setup is designed to balance performance and efficiency, and the test team found the drivetrain responsive in urban and suburban driving. That said, the same evaluation also noted some refinement concerns, so used buyers should pay close attention to how the engine and transmission feel on a test drive.

There’s no maintenance perk called out here, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers comes down to condition, service history, and how hard the drivetrain has been used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if it looks clean on the lot. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, cabin electronics, and any signs of uneven wear or prior bodywork. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on comfort, tech, and safety equipment, condition matters as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes S, SV, SL, and Platinum trim levels. The SV, SL, and Platinum can add Premium packages, and the SV also gets the Midnight Edition package. Base-trim shoppers should pay close attention to feature gaps versus the higher trims, especially if you want the more upscale cabin touches and added convenience equipment.
• Powertrain: The Rogue uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with a CVT. It makes 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque, and AWD is optional. The setup is tuned for everyday responsiveness and efficiency, but highway passing power is a weak point.
• Safety package: Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, plus features such as a surround-view camera, lane-keeping assist, driver monitoring, and sonar.
• Infotainment: The Rogue uses an 8-inch or available 9-inch touchscreen. The test vehicle had wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, NissanConnect services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, wireless charging, and a Bose premium audio system. Alexa Built-in is standard on Platinum.
• Fuel efficiency: The test vehicle was expected to return 31 mpg in combined driving, and it averaged 28.9 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2023 Nissan Rogue trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point if you want the Rogue’s core strengths at the lowest price. It gives you the basic design, standard safety equipment, and the same turbocharged powertrain as the rest of the lineup, making it the value-minded starting point.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it opens the door to more convenience and appearance upgrades, including the Midnight Edition package. If you want a nicer daily driver without jumping all the way to luxury territory, this is the trim to focus on.
• SL: Choose this if you want a more upscale feel and access to optional Premium-package content without going all the way to Platinum. It’s the middle ground for shoppers who want more comfort and tech.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious version, with upscale cabin materials, Alexa Built-in, and the richest feature set. It makes sense if you want the most premium Rogue experience and are willing to pay for it.

Higher trims can also add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, so safety and driver-assistance content improves as you move up the range.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 9,761 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.32% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,436, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $22,048 sits slightly below last year's $23,288.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right number. A softer market today may also make it easier for you to find a fair entry price, but it means resale gains are unlikely to be dramatic in the near term.

If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well, the Rogue’s broad appeal should help it remain easy to market later. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.31/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Rogue safe?

The 2023 Nissan Rogue earns a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA. It gets four-star ratings for the driver and front passenger in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, rear automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and automatic high-beam headlights. Higher trims can add ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, which combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering assistance.

The main caveat is that updated IIHS testing produced Marginal and Acceptable results in the small overlap frontal-impact and side-impact tests, respectively. That means the Rogue’s safety story is strong overall, but not flawless.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.31/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It adds a Midnight Edition package for the SV and Alexa compatibility for Platinum.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,600, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $22,048 average.
• It brings a more modern turbocharged engine and transmission setup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $20,823, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $22,048 average.
• It adds refreshed styling and Google built-in apps.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current-year pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and broad inventory, the 2023 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is saving money first, the 2022 and 2024 can both make sense depending on which update package matters more to you.
