Used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder for Sale nearLexington, KY

How much does the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder cost?

Prices have softened 8.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,546 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare by trim, mileage, and condition.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.67/5 user rating and an 8.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Form and function and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable interior, and especially the second-row seating. The sound system also comes up as a recurring strength, and reviewers note that it delivers good power and utility for family use.

The trade-offs are worth keeping in mind: the high starting price, confusing shifter design, and ride quality that can feel uneven depending on the trim. In practical terms, that means you should view it as a family-focused three-row SUV that emphasizes space, comfort, and features more than bargain pricing or class-leading refinement.

With 38.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with comfortable seating, a well-liked interior, and strong everyday usefulness. Reviewers also describe it as good on power and utility, which supports the sense that it can handle regular family duty without drama.

From the expert side, the Pathfinder is described as smooth and quiet in normal driving, with a powertrain that makes plenty of power for town and highway use. The 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty also adds some ownership reassurance.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about living with the shifter, ride quality, and feature mix over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin controls, ride quality, and any features you expect to use every day. It also makes sense to compare trims carefully, because the Pathfinder’s equipment spread is wide enough that condition and content can matter as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim starts with 18-inch alloy wheels, manually adjustable seats, cloth upholstery, push-button start, remote keyless entry, tri-zone automatic climate control, and an 8-inch touchscreen. Higher trims add comfort and convenience features, while the Platinum brings upgraded leather upholstery, 20-inch wheels, a hands-free power liftgate, ventilated front seats, a fully digital instrument panel, and a power tilt-telescoping steering wheel.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.5-liter V6 makes 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque through a 9-speed automatic. The Rock Creek version is tuned to 295 hp and 270 lb-ft, and it adds standard AWD plus a taller suspension with off-road shocks.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, forward and reverse collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic high beams, rear parking sensors, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. SV adds ProPilot Assist with lane centering and adaptive cruise control, while SL adds front parking sensors, a 360-degree parking monitor, traffic-sign recognition, and navigation-linked ProPilot Assist.
• Infotainment: The base system uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum get a 9-inch screen, and SL adds wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless device charging, and a third-row USB port.
• Fuel efficiency: The Pathfinder returns 21 mpg city, 27 highway, and 23 combined. SL and Platinum 4WD trims return 20 mpg city, 25 highway, and 22 combined. The Rock Creek is rated at 20 mpg city, 23 highway, and 21 combined.

Which 2023 Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, SL, Rock Creek, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Pathfinder formula with the 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, tri-zone climate control, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and can live without the extra comfort and tech upgrades.
• SV: This trim adds heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, remote start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and additional driver assistance features. It is the best-value choice if you want a more comfortable daily driver without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• SL: This is the sweet spot for many shoppers because it adds a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless device charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, a heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, and more parking and safety tech. It also brings the features that make the Pathfinder feel more upscale without going all the way to the top trim.
• Rock Creek: This is the rugged choice, with off-road suspension, all-terrain tires, standard four-wheel drive, unique styling, a heavy-duty roof cargo rack, and a water-repellent interior. It suits you best if you want the tougher look and the added trail and towing capability.
• Platinum: This is the most luxurious version, with upgraded leather, ventilated front seats, a hands-free power liftgate, a wall-style power outlet, a fully digital instrument panel, and a power tilt-telescoping steering wheel. Choose it if you want the most comfort and convenience features in the lineup.

The safety package expands as you move up the range, with SV adding ProPilot Assist, SL adding front parking sensors and a 360-degree monitor, and Platinum adding rain-sensing wipers and a head-up display.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Pathfinder?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,546 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,872, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $29,872 sits slightly below last year's $32,521.

That price movement suggests the Pathfinder has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price now and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be starting from a more favorable value position than a buyer who paid closer to last year’s average.

The current range also shows that demand is still active enough to support a broad spread of asking prices. Well-equipped trims and clean-history examples should remain easier to move than neglected or heavily worn ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Platinum adds rain-sensing wipers and a head-up display.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds the Rock Creek edition, giving you a more rugged option with off-road hardware and stronger towing capability.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,598, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,872 average.
• It brings back much of the Pathfinder’s capability with a rugged look and thoughtful features.

The bottom line: If you want the newer year’s broader market selection, stronger deal availability, and the Rock Creek option, the 2023 is the better primary target. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the smarter price-sensitive alternative, especially if you find one in good condition with the features you need.
