How much does the 2023 Nissan Ariya cost?

Prices have softened 13.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,482 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Nissan Ariya a good car?

Yes — 4.8/5 owners’ rating points to strong satisfaction, and the expert rating is 8.5/10. The model scores 9/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, impressive features, smooth handling, advanced safety systems, and stylish design. The main trade-offs are that the price can feel a bit high and the range could be better, especially in colder conditions.

With its comfort-focused cabin, slick design, and EV-first tech, it fits you well if you want a distinctive electric SUV that feels polished in daily driving. The market also looks supportive, with 51.1% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Nissan Ariya reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise for its solid performance and comfort over time. The expert review also emphasizes Nissan’s experience building and servicing EV powertrains, which adds confidence for long-term ownership.

Nissan’s EV Carefree+ package includes 3 years or 36,000 miles of scheduled maintenance and an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, which helps reduce early ownership worries. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery and charging history still support the range you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Ariya?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where battery condition and charging behavior matter. Focus on cabin wear, infotainment operation, charging-port condition, and whether the car has been used mostly for home charging or frequent DC fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Engage FWD is the entry point, while higher trims add more equipment and capability. The base trim misses the head-up display, which appears on all but the Engage trim level, and the safety suite expands on Empower+ and Platinum+ with ProPilot Assist 2.0.
• Powertrain: The Ariya is offered with front-wheel drive and e-4ORCE all-wheel drive. The Engage FWD uses a single motor with a 63-kWh battery and 214 horsepower, while AWD versions add a second motor; extended-range trims use an 87-kWh battery, and the dual-motor AWD setup raises output to 389 horsepower.
• Safety package: ProPilot Assist is the standard driver-assistance suite, and ProPilot Assist 2.0 appears on the Empower+ and Platinum+ trims. Standard equipment also includes automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a driver-attention monitor, and traffic-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: Dual 12-inch displays are standard, wireless Apple CarPlay comes on all trims, Android Auto is standard but wired, and the system includes Alexa compatibility. The head-up display is standard on all but the Engage trim level.
• Range & charging: The 87-kWh battery is expected to charge from 20% to 80% in 40 minutes on a 130-kW DC fast charger, while the smaller battery should do it in 35 minutes. The review also notes an EPA estimate of 304 miles for the front-wheel-drive model.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, confirm how the car has been charged, and review remaining battery warranty coverage. For a used EV, you want to know whether the battery has been treated gently and whether the warranty still gives you meaningful protection.

Which 2023 Nissan Ariya trim should I buy?

The 2023 Nissan Ariya is offered in 7 trim levels: Engage, Engage+, Venture+, Evolve+, Empower+, Premiere, and Platinum+.

Here's the short version:

• Engage: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and a straightforward way into the Ariya lineup. It gives you the core EV experience, but you give up some of the nicer convenience and safety upgrades found higher up.
• Engage+: This is the first step up if you want the extended-range battery without jumping too far in price. It makes sense if range matters more to you than extra luxury or advanced driver-assistance features.
• Venture+: This trim pairs the extended-range battery with a more powerful motor, making it a strong value choice if you want better performance without moving into the pricier upper trims.
• Evolve+: This is the trim to consider if you want more flexibility, since it is offered with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. It sits in the middle of the lineup and broadens your choices.
• Empower+: This is where the more advanced safety tech starts to matter more, because it adds ProPilot Assist 2.0. If hands-free-but-eyes-on highway assistance is important to you, this is a compelling step up.
• Premiere: This limited-edition trim keeps the extended-range battery and sits near the top of the lineup. It suits you if you want a more upscale Ariya without going all the way to the top trim.
• Platinum+: This is the top trim and the best fit if you want the fullest feature set, including ProPilot Assist 2.0 and the dual-motor AWD setup. It is the most complete version, but also the priciest.

The safety package note to keep in mind is that ProPilot Assist 2.0 is reserved for the Empower+ and Platinum+ trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Ariya?

The market looks favorable for shoppers right now, with solid deal availability and a healthy supply of listings.

• Deal availability: 51.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,482 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 94.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,323, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Ariya's resale value?

The current average of $22,662 sits slightly below last year's $26,072.

That decline suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can work against a seller trying to maximize return in the short term. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend means you may want to buy carefully and keep the vehicle in excellent condition to protect value.

The good news is that strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Nissan Ariya safe?

The 2023 Nissan Ariya has not been crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan’s standard driver-assistance suite includes ProPilot Assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a driver-attention monitor, and traffic-sign recognition. On the Empower+ and Platinum+ trims, ProPilot Assist 2.0 adds hands-free-but-eyes-on driving capability, lane-change assist, HD map data, and a driver-monitoring camera.

That means you get a strong standard safety package, but the most advanced highway-assist tech is not on every trim. If that feature matters to you, focus your search on the Empower+ or Platinum+.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Ariya or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 51.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year brings a stylish design, strong safety tech, and available ProPilot Assist 2.0 on higher trims.

The bottom line: If you want the Ariya’s current mix of value, comfort, and advanced tech, the 2023 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, shop the lower end of the range and compare trims carefully, since the lineup spreads from basic EV transportation to a much more advanced, better-equipped version.
