How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter cost?

There are 265 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter a good car?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter stands out because it combines the versatility of a commercial van with a level of refinement that is unusual in the segment. It is designed to serve many roles, from cargo hauler and passenger shuttle to work van and camper foundation, and its appeal comes from that broad configurability.

For 2023, the Sprinter’s lineup was centered on four-cylinder engines after the V6 turbodiesel was discontinued, and the available engines were paired to a new nine-speed automatic. The available 4Matic all-wheel-drive system was also new and optional on all models, which makes this a strong fit if you want a capable van with a more modern powertrain setup.

The cabin adds to the appeal with car-like refinement, well-shaped seats, low road noise, and a long list of tech features. The market also shows 33.2% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter reliable?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter offers a refined cabin, modern tech, and a more contemporary powertrain setup than earlier versions. It also brings useful features such as MBUX infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and available all-wheel drive.

At the same time, the added electronics and emissions hardware can increase complexity, and early reliability reports mention software glitches, sensor issues, and maintenance costs tied to the diesel emissions system. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about careful maintenance and repair exposure than basic usability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report, a pre-purchase inspection, and a close look at maintenance records before you commit. Pay extra attention to the condition of the electronics, sensors, and diesel-related components, since those are the areas most likely to affect ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 265 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 10.68% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 89.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $44,847, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter's resale value?

The current average of $49,612 sits slightly above last year's $44,826.

That upward move suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year’s mix of refinement, configurability, and available all-wheel drive. If you buy well and keep the van in strong condition, that pricing trend can help support your future resale position. It also means a clean, well-documented example should be easier to justify to the next buyer than a neglected one.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 10.68% year-over-year.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right pick if you want the newer four-cylinder lineup, available all-wheel drive, and a more modern feel in a highly configurable van. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may give you a lower entry point, but you should still focus on condition, history, and maintenance records before choosing.
