The current average of $37,619 sits slightly below last year's $38,971. That kind of price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, the NX’s premium image and broad appeal should help support demand when it’s time to sell. Should I buy a 2023 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 42.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.47% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $35,008, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,619 average.
• The 2022 emphasizes bold design and advanced technology.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and buyer confidence, the 2023 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the NX’s core appeal.
