Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Because this model is often bought for its sporty feel and premium cabin, make sure the interior, electronics, and overall presentation match the seller’s claims before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus IS?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,158 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.68% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,240, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus IS's resale value?

The current average of $40,240 sits slightly below last year's $41,347.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can matter if you plan to sell later. A softer current price can make the car easier to buy now, but it may also mean you should be realistic about future trade-in expectations.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus IS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.68% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,691, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $40,240 average.
• It offers a more performance-focused lineup with a standout V8 option.

The bottom line: If you want the newer-year pricing context and a strong owner satisfaction profile, the 2023 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and may be worth a closer look.
