Used 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport for Sale nearChicago, IL

How much does the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport cost?

Prices have softened 14.76% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,199 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It is designed as the sportier alternative to a standard Range Rover, and the redesign gives it a more athletic look and feel. The cabin is meant to feel upscale and more dynamic than the larger model, and the SUV’s off-road capability is described as excellent.

The trade-offs are clear: the handling is underwhelming compared with rivals from Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, and the back seat is cramped. The technology can also be frustrating, so this is best for you if you value presence and off-road confidence more than rear-seat space or polished everyday tech.

37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Range Rover Sport is presented as a vehicle with serious off-road hardware and a strong, powerful engine, which supports the idea that it is built for demanding use. Its standard adaptive damping air suspension and robust all-terrain systems also point to a well-engineered platform.

The performance notes emphasize that the SUV can accelerate to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, tow 7,716 pounds, and handle rough terrain with confidence. On the cost side, the plug-in hybrid version is highlighted for its estimated 51 miles of electric range, and Land Rover notes that keeping it charged can save money on gas.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the vehicle’s complexity and premium positioning can make upkeep and repairs more consequential if you buy a poorly maintained example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has been used for towing, rough roads, or frequent short trips. Focus on overall condition, because the Range Rover Sport’s premium hardware and technology make neglected examples more expensive to sort out later.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: As of this writing, Land Rover sells the Range Rover Sport in SE P360, SE Dynamic P400, and Autobiography P440e specification. The SE Dynamic P400 adds more power than the SE P360, and the Autobiography P440e brings the plug-in hybrid setup. The base setup is also the one most likely to leave you wanting more equipment if you care about a richer cabin or more advanced content.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with mild-hybrid technology, plus a plug-in hybrid electric drivetrain that is exclusive to the Autobiography P440e. The PHEV is the efficiency play, while the inline-six is the mainstream choice for strong everyday performance.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, a driver monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system with ClearSight Ground View. Remote Park Assist is available, and the evaluation notes that adaptive cruise control with steering assist can be slow to respond and not especially smooth.
• Infotainment: Every Range Rover Sport has a 13.7-inch digital instrumentation display and a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with haptic feedback. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Amazon Alexa compatibility, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an Online Pack with connected services. The system can be frustrating to use, so test it carefully before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: The P400 drivetrain should get 21 mpg in combined driving, and the plug-in hybrid is estimated to deliver 51 miles of electric driving range.

Which 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport trim should I buy?

The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is offered in 3 trim levels: SE P360, SE Dynamic P400, Autobiography P440e.

Here's the short version:

• SE P360: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Range Rover Sport experience with the turbocharged inline-six and the model’s standout styling. It makes sense if you want the look and capability without stretching for the pricier versions.
• SE Dynamic P400: This is the best-value trim if you want more power and a stronger all-around feel without jumping to the plug-in hybrid. It adds the more potent inline-six tune and is the version that best reflects the SUV’s intended balance of refinement and driver-focused engagement.
• Autobiography P440e: Choose this if you want the plug-in hybrid drivetrain and the estimated 51 miles of electric driving range. It is the efficiency and tech-forward choice, but it is also the most expensive path.

Standard safety equipment is broad across the lineup, and the available Remote Park Assist adds another convenience layer if you want extra parking help.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,199 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.76% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $60,623, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $60,623 sits slightly below last year's $71,121.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. It also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because the model has strong owner satisfaction and a distinctive luxury-off-road identity, well-kept examples should continue to attract interest. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport safe?

The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Land Rover installs numerous advanced driving assistance systems in the Range Rover Sport, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. It also includes automatic high-beam headlights, a driver monitoring system, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system with ClearSight Ground View.

The evaluation notes that adaptive cruise control with steering assist can be slow to respond and not as smooth as expected, and the steering assist can feel untrustworthy on freeway curves and bends. That means you should test the system carefully on your own routes before relying on it.

Should I buy a 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model stands out for its stylish redesign, strong off-road capability, and powerful engine, even though its on-road dynamics and tech are less polished than rivals.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version in this price band and you value the Range Rover Sport’s styling and off-road confidence, the 2023 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you can shop carefully for a lower-mileage example or compare nearby model years to see whether a better deal appears with similar equipment.
