Used 2023 Kia Telluride for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the 2023 Kia Telluride cost?

Prices have softened 10.56% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,908 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Kia Telluride a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Kia Telluride earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 9/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the comfort, technology, and upscale feel, and many say it feels more luxurious than its price suggests. The Telluride also gets credit for its smooth ride and extensive features, which reinforces its family-friendly appeal. The main trade-off is that some interior materials feel cheap, and the manual third-row seating and steering wheel drew some criticism.

For you, that means the Telluride makes the most sense if you want a three-row SUV that feels polished and well equipped without chasing luxury-brand pricing. Good and great deals account for 37.9% of listings, so there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Kia Telluride reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe the Telluride as comfortable, upscale, and easy to live with, and those themes usually go hand in hand with dependable ownership experiences. The expert drive impressions also emphasize that Kia has refined the SUV rather than reinvented it, which can be reassuring if you want a familiar, proven setup. Kia’s long warranty coverage adds another layer of confidence for used buyers.

For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is less about the overall package and more about finding a well-kept example with no hidden wear or prior damage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Telluride?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any listing you like, even if the market looks clean overall. Prioritize a close inspection of the interior materials, third-row operation, and any signs of heavy family use. If possible, test the tech and driver-assistance features yourself so you know everything works as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup adds fresh styling, updated headlights and taillights, new wheel designs, and a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, while the X-Line and X-Pro versions bring a more rugged look and feel. The X-Line adds a raised suspension, unique grille design, raised roof rails, body-color door handles, and black 20-inch wheels, while the X-Pro goes further with exclusive 18-inch wheels and all-terrain tires. If you want the most capability-focused setup, the X-Pro is the one to target.
• Powertrain: Every version uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The available AWD system includes a low-speed Lock setting, and the X-Line and X-Pro add suspension and traction changes that improve off-road performance.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, junction turning assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, Safe Exit Assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, Highway Drive Assist 1.5, automatic high beams, driver attention warning, and Rear Occupant Alert. Highway Drive Assist 2.0 starts with SX trim, and SX trim or higher adds more collision-avoidance features, front parking sensors, low-speed automatic braking while parking, a surround-view camera with a forward view, and a Blind-Spot View Monitor.
• Infotainment: Every model gets a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, navigation, Kia Connect services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, over-the-air updates, and Bluetooth pairing for two devices. Higher trims add features such as wireless smartphone charging, a premium sound system, digital key capability, and a full-display mirror.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert drive notes an average of 24.1 mpg in one AWD test and 20.4 mpg in another, and official EPA ratings say AWD models should get 21 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2023 Kia Telluride trim should I buy?

The 2023 Kia Telluride is offered in 5 trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX, and SX Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, but it still gets the standard 12.3-inch touchscreen and the full suite of core safety tech. It makes sense if you want the Telluride experience at the lowest starting point, though it misses the more upscale and capability-focused extras found higher up.
• S: This trim adds a step up in equipment without jumping all the way to the more expensive luxury-leaning versions. It’s a sensible middle ground if you want more content than the LX without paying for the top-end features.
• EX: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it sits in the sweet spot between price and equipment. It also works with the X-Line package if you want the more rugged styling and suspension changes.
• SX: This is where the Telluride starts to feel especially well equipped, since Highway Drive Assist 2.0 becomes standard and you gain more advanced collision-avoidance features, front parking sensors, and a surround-view camera with a forward view. It also unlocks the X-Pro package.
• SX Prestige: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the Telluride, along with access to the X-Line and X-Pro packages. It’s the trim to target if you want the fullest feature set and the most premium feel.

The safety package gets even richer starting with SX trim, so that’s the key cutoff if advanced driver-assistance features matter most to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Telluride?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,908 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,537, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Telluride's resale value?

The current average of $31,537 sits slightly below last year's $35,261.

That price movement suggests the Telluride has already given up some value, which can be good news if you’re buying now and less ideal if you’re planning to sell soon. A softer used market can mean more competition when you list your vehicle later, especially if newer examples remain plentiful. Still, the Telluride’s broad appeal and strong reputation should help it stay desirable.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Kia Telluride safe?

The 2023 Kia Telluride was unavailable for crash-test ratings when this review was published.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Kia equips every Telluride with a long list of standard driver-assistance features, including forward-collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, junction turning assist, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Highway Drive Assist 1.5, and Rear Occupant Alert. SX trim and higher add Highway Drive Assist 2.0 plus additional collision-avoidance and parking aids.

The main caveat is that the most advanced highway-assist setup and several parking and blind-spot camera features are reserved for higher trims.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Telluride or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• This year adds minor styling changes, new technologies, and X-Line and X-Pro trims with more off-road attitude.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $26,095, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,537 average.
• It adds more standard equipment and strong value.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,045, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,537 average.
• It adds minor detail updates and a more polished look.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, features, and current inventory, the 2023 is the smart default. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the value play; if you want the freshest version and can spend more, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
