Used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L for Sale nearUtica, NY

How much does the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L cost?

Prices have softened 12.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,334 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating, the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L looks like a strong fit if you want a larger full-size SUV with more room than the standard Wagoneer. It adds an extra foot of length, seven more inches of wheelbase, longer rear doors for easier entry and exit, and a 35-percent increase in cargo capacity behind the third row.

The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the twin-turbo six is powerful and refined, but significant turbo lag can dull response from a stop, and the voice recognition system is frustrating. Active Drive Assist is also unavailable, which matters if you want the latest hands-free-style convenience features.

Good and great deals account for 44.2% of listings, so you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wagoneer L is built around a spacious, comfort-focused full-size SUV formula, and the expert evaluation highlights a smooth, quiet cabin and a refined twin-turbo inline-six that helps the SUV feel relaxed at speed. Jeep also says the new Hurricane engine improves fuel efficiency versus the outgoing V8 while reducing carbon emissions by 15 percent.

Jeep includes five years of complimentary scheduled oil changes and tire rotations, which helps lower early ownership hassle. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is that a large, heavily optioned SUV can become expensive if prior maintenance was skipped or if high-cost electronics and comfort features need attention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper inspection. Focus on overall condition, especially the cabin, electronics, and any signs that the SUV has been heavily optioned or used hard. If possible, confirm that the features you want are actually present, since equipment changes meaningfully by trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base version is the most stripped-down, while Series II adds more convenience and driver-assistance equipment. If you want the best balance of features and value, Series II is the trim to focus on.
• Powertrain: The Wagoneer L uses a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. It is smooth and refined, but turbo lag is noticeable from a stop.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Management.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, connected services, and USB ports in all three rows. Wireless device charging is included on Series II and up.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep says the Hurricane engine should return 20 mpg combined with 2WD and 19 mpg combined with 4WD.

Which 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Series II, and Series III.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it is the least equipped choice. Buy it only if you want the lowest starting price and are comfortable giving up some convenience and driver-assistance content.
• Series II: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Active Lane Management, and a wireless charging pad, making it the most balanced choice for everyday use.
• Series III: Choose this if you want the most upscale equipment and are willing to pay more for it, but the content here points to Series II as the smarter buy for value.

If you want more driving assistance tech than the Wagoneer L offers, you’ll need to move up to a Grand Wagoneer L.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment, with solid inventory and a meaningful price drop versus last year.

• Deal availability: 44.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,334 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,315, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L's resale value?

The current average of $36,315 sits slightly below last year's $41,525.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may pressure resale if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at a strong discount now, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. The Wagoneer L’s large size, strong feature content, and broad appeal among full-size SUV shoppers can still support demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L safe?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L’s crash-test ratings were unavailable as this review was written.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management, which brings lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assistance. Jeep also offers automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, semi-autonomous parking assistance, and Intersection Collision Assist.

A key caveat is that Active Drive Assist is unavailable on the Wagoneer L, so if you want the most advanced driver-assistance tech, you’ll need to look elsewhere in Jeep’s lineup.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 44.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year brings the new twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six, extra cargo room, and a larger body that make it especially appealing if you want maximum space.

The bottom line: The 2023 Wagoneer L is the right pick if you want the extra room, the newer engine, and a market that currently favors buyers. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can shop aggressively for a well-kept example below the current average and focus on Series II for the best mix of features and value.
