Used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L for Sale nearQuincy, IL

How much does the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L cost?

Prices have softened 11.96% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,292 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.0/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It stands out as a larger, more spacious take on Jeep’s full-size SUV formula, with an extra foot of length, more wheelbase, longer rear doors, and a 35-percent increase in cargo capacity behind the third row. That makes it especially appealing if you want a big SUV with more room for passengers and luggage without giving up an upscale, substantial feel.

The trade-offs are clear: the turbocharged engine has significant lag from a stop, the voice recognition system is frustrating, and Active Drive Assist is unavailable. Even so, the model’s strong power-and-efficiency balance and roomy packaging make it a compelling fit if you value space and capability first.

39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L is described as quiet, refined, and improved in noise, vibration, and harshness, with standard acoustic windshield and front door glass helping keep the cabin calm. Its twin-turbo inline-six is also presented as smoother and more efficient than the outgoing V8 setup, which supports the impression of a well-sorted powertrain.

Jeep also includes five years of complimentary scheduled oil changes and tire rotations, which helps reduce early ownership hassle. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, complex SUV can become expensive if prior maintenance was skipped or if high-end options were poorly cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the turbocharged powertrain, electronics, and any signs of heavy use, especially if the SUV was optioned with more advanced equipment. Pay close attention to cabin condition, cargo-area wear, and whether the vehicle’s features operate as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the core Wagoneer L experience, while Series II adds more driver-assistance tech and convenience features. If you want the most complete equipment set, Series III sits above it, but the base trim is where you’ll notice the biggest feature gaps.
• Powertrain: The standard twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six makes 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, and Jeep says it improves fuel efficiency versus the old V8. It is smooth and refined, but you should evaluate turbo lag during a test drive.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Management, while higher-level safety upgrades include automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, semi-autonomous parking assistance, and Intersection Collision Assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging on Series II and up, and over-the-air-connected services through the system’s broader feature set. Voice recognition is a weak point, so test it before you buy.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep says the Hurricane engine should return 20 mpg in combined driving with 2WD and 19 mpg with 4WD.

Which 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Series II, and Series III.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Wagoneer L formula: lots of space, the twin-turbo inline-six, and a strong standard safety and tech foundation. If you want the lowest-cost way into the model and care most about room and power, this is the one to start with.
• Series II: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Management, plus wireless charging and other convenience upgrades. If you want the most balanced mix of equipment and value, this is the trim to target.
• Series III: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the Wagoneer L and are willing to pay for it. It builds on the lower trims with a more premium overall presentation and the most complete feature set.

Series II is the trim where the safety package meaningfully expands, so it’s the one most buyers should compare first.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,292 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,888, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L's resale value?

The current average of $35,888 sits slightly below last year's $40,765.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle was maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L safe?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes with a solid standard safety suite that includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Management, while higher-level upgrades include automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, semi-autonomous parking assistance, and Intersection Collision Assist.

One important caveat is that Active Drive Assist is unavailable, so you do not get the hands-free-style capability offered by some rivals. That makes it worth checking carefully whether the driver-assistance setup on the specific used example matches what you want.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings the new twin-turbo Hurricane 420 engine, which adds more power and better efficiency than the outgoing V8 while preserving the Wagoneer L’s extra space.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of space, power, and current-market value, the 2023 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can shop aggressively for a lower-priced listing, but the 2023 already looks attractive because prices have eased and inventory is available.
