Used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L for Sale nearDel Rio, TX

How much does the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L cost?

Prices have softened 12.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,341 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from users, and the expert rating is 7/10. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L is built for you if you want a full-size SUV with more cargo room than the standard Wagoneer, plus easier access through longer rear doors and a stretched wheelbase. It also brings a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that adds power while improving fuel economy versus the outgoing V8.

The trade-offs are clear: you’ll notice significant turbo lag, and the voice recognition system is a weak point. Active Drive Assist is also unavailable.

With 38.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wagoneer L’s appeal for long-term ownership starts with its quiet cabin, strong standard equipment, and the new twin-turbo inline-six that Jeep says improves fuel efficiency while reducing emissions. The expert review also notes that the engine is smooth, quiet, and refined, which is a good sign for everyday livability.

Jeep also includes five years of complimentary scheduled oil changes and tire rotations, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a complex, heavily optioned full-size SUV can become expensive if you need repairs outside the covered maintenance period.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, electronics, and any signs of heavy family or road-trip use. Pay close attention to cabin wear, cargo-area condition, and whether the vehicle’s features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management, while the standard equipment already includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking.
• Powertrain: The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six makes 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, and Jeep says it improves fuel efficiency versus the old V8. Premium fuel is recommended but not required.
• Safety package: Standard driver assistance includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, navigation, connected services, and USB ports in all three rows. Series II and up add a wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep says the Hurricane engine should return 20 mpg combined with 2WD and 19 mpg combined with 4WD.

Which 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Series II, Series III.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it already gives you the Wagoneer L’s big-space advantage, the twin-turbo Hurricane 420 engine, and the core safety and infotainment hardware. It makes sense if you want the extra room without stretching for more luxury content.
• Series II: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, Active Lane Management, and a wireless charging pad. If you want the strongest mix of equipment and price, start here.
• Series III: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the Wagoneer L and are willing to pay for it. It’s the trim to consider if you want the most premium experience in the lineup.

If you want the most advanced driver-assistance setup available on this model, note that Jeep says you’ll need to move up to a Grand Wagoneer L for more driving assistance tech.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,341 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,559, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L's resale value?

The current average of $36,559 sits slightly below last year's $41,635.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and avoid overpaying for options that the market may not fully reward later.

The Wagoneer L’s strong utility, large-cabin appeal, and broad feature set should help it stay relevant with family buyers who need space. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L safe?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns six-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management, which brings lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assistance.

A key caveat is that Active Drive Assist is unavailable, so you won’t get the hands-free-style capability offered by some rivals.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year introduces the stretched Wagoneer L body with more cargo space and the new twin-turbo Hurricane 420 engine.

The bottom line: If you want the extra space, stronger engine, and improved efficiency, the 2023 is the right year to target. If you’re mainly shopping on price, you can still find value here, but you should compare listings carefully and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than chasing options you may not need.
