Used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L for Sale nearAmarillo, TX

How much does the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L cost?

Prices have softened 11.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,348 listings available, which suggests you should have some room to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It stands out as a larger, more spacious take on Jeep’s full-size SUV formula, with an extra foot of length, more wheelbase, longer rear doors, and a 35-percent increase in cargo capacity behind the third row. That makes it especially appealing if you want a big SUV that can carry people and gear with less compromise.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: significant turbo lag can blunt response, the voice recognition system is disappointing, and Active Drive Assist is unavailable. Even so, the Wagoneer L’s powerful engine and comfortable ride make it a strong fit if you value space and highway comfort over sharp response.

39.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Wagoneer L is built around a new twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine that Jeep says improves fuel efficiency while delivering more power and torque than the outgoing V8. In expert testing, the engine came across as smooth, quiet, and refined, and the SUV’s cabin was described as quiet at speed.

Jeep also includes five years of complimentary scheduled oil changes and tire rotations, which helps reduce early ownership hassle. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, highly optioned SUV can become expensive to maintain if prior owners skipped regular care or loaded it with costly equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, electronics, and suspension, especially if the SUV has been optioned heavily or used for towing. Pay close attention to wear items and signs of uneven use, since this is a large, premium SUV that can accumulate expensive repair needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the core Wagoneer L experience, while Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management. Series III sits above that, so you should compare equipment carefully if you want the best value.
• Powertrain: The Wagoneer L uses a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. Jeep says it should return 20 mpg in combined driving with 2WD and 19 mpg with 4WD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management, while higher-end safety-related upgrades include automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, semi-autonomous parking assistance, and Intersection Collision Assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa integration, OTA-connected services, and USB ports in all three rows. Series II and up adds wireless device charging.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep says the twin-turbo inline-six should get 20 mpg combined with 2WD and 19 mpg combined with 4WD, and it is described as slightly more efficient than the outgoing V8.

Which 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Series II, and Series III.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it already gives you the Wagoneer L’s big-space advantage, the twin-turbo inline-six, and the standard safety and infotainment basics. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting price and do not need the extra convenience features.
• Series II: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, Active Lane Management, and wireless device charging while keeping the core Wagoneer L strengths intact.
• Series III: Choose this if you want the most fully equipped version and are willing to pay for it, but make sure the added equipment is worth the jump over Series II for your needs.

For safety, the standard driver-assistance suite is solid, but Active Drive Assist is unavailable on the Wagoneer L.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 39.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,348 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,343, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L's resale value?

The current average of $36,357 sits slightly below last year's $41,252.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean. On the other hand, the lower entry point may help keep demand steady among shoppers who want a large luxury SUV without paying new-vehicle pricing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L safe?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. If you move up to Series II, you also get adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management, which adds lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assistance.

Jeep also offers automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, semi-autonomous parking assistance, and Intersection Collision Assist. One important caveat is that Active Drive Assist is unavailable on the Wagoneer L, so you do not get the hands-free-style capability offered by some rivals.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model brings the new twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six and the added Wagoneer L space advantage.

The bottom line: If you want the extra room, the newer powertrain, and a market that has softened meaningfully, the 2023 is the right place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you should still compare nearby model years and look for the cleanest, best-equipped example rather than focusing only on the newest badge.
