Used 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L for Sale nearSpringfield, MO

How much does the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L cost?

Prices have softened 15.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 554 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L a good car?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L earns an 7.17/10 expert rating, and it is aimed at you if you want a full-size luxury SUV with an understated identity, a decadent cabin, and the space to carry people and cargo in comfort.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

That lines up with the vehicle’s strengths: a powerful engine, a comfortable ride, and plenty of cargo space. The trade-offs are just as clear, though, because the price is high, turbo lag is called out as a drawback, and the tech user experience is described as dissatisfying.

The market still looks workable, with 40.6% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L reliable?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L is presented as a well-equipped, luxury-focused SUV with a powerful engine and a comfortable ride, but the tech-heavy cabin and complex interface can make ownership feel more demanding than the basics suggest.

Its powertrain is described as smooth, quiet, and refined once it gets moving, and the engine is also framed as more efficient than the V8 it replaces in most versions. Jeep also includes more standard equipment, including four-wheel drive, which supports the sense that this is a thoroughly equipped vehicle.

Jeep’s client-services approach adds some ownership polish, and the model’s standard equipment list suggests a premium experience from day one. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a complicated luxury SUV can be expensive to live with if you end up chasing tech frustrations or premium repair needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the cabin electronics, driver-assistance systems, and any signs of heavy use in a large luxury SUV. Pay close attention to overall condition, since this model’s value depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and equipped.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes a base model, a Series II, and a Series III, with Obsidian available on the Series II and Series III. The base model is the one most likely to leave you wanting more, since the higher trims bring the richer luxury presentation and equipment that better match the vehicle’s price.
• Powertrain: You get a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine with 510 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard four-wheel drive. Jeep says towing capacity is 9,450 pounds, and the engine is described as smooth and refined, though there is noticeable delay off the line.
• Safety package: Active Driving Assist pairs adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Management, and the SUV also includes Intersection Collision Assist, Night Vision with pedestrian and animal detection, and automatic parking. It does not offer hands-free highway driving assist, so that is a meaningful gap if you want that feature.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 12-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless charging, navigation, Amazon Alexa integration, SiriusXM, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep says the Grand Wagoneer L is rated at 17 mpg combined, and the test vehicle averaged 17.1 mpg.

Which 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L is offered in 3 trim levels: base model, Series II, and Series III.

Here's the short version:

• base model: This is the entry point, but the higher trims are where the Grand Wagoneer L’s luxury mission really comes through. If you want the lowest starting price and can live without the richest equipment, this is the trim to start with.
• Series II: This is the trim to target if you want the best balance of luxury and value. It sits above the base model and can be had with Obsidian, which adds a blacked-out appearance.
• Series III: This is the most fully equipped version and the one that best matches the vehicle’s upscale personality. It is the right pick if you want the most luxurious presentation and the strongest feature set.

Safety equipment is generous across the lineup, but there is no hands-free highway driving assist system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L?

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment if you are shopping carefully and comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 554 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $50,105, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L's resale value?

The current average of $50,105 sits slightly below last year's $59,606.

That drop suggests the market has moved in your favor if you are buying now, but it also means a future seller may face softer pricing than owners saw a year ago. If you plan to resell later, the current trend points to more depreciation pressure than appreciation. The upside is that a lower entry price today can help offset some of that future value loss.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L safe?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep equips it with a broad suite of driver-assistance and collision-avoidance features, including Intersection Collision Assist, Night Vision with pedestrian and animal detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Active Lane Management, and automatic parking. The main safety caveat is that Active Driving Assist is not a hands-free highway system, so you still need to keep your hands on the wheel.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 40.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.94% compared with last year.
• The 2023 stands out for its extended-length body, powerful engine, and luxury-focused cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of price relief, inventory choice, and the year’s full-size luxury appeal, the 2023 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the broader market and compare listings closely, because the current pricing trend gives you room to be selective.
