Used 2023 Jeep Gladiator for Sale nearMidland, TX

How much does the 2023 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 3.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,997 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Gladiator earns a 4.8/5 user rating, and its expert rating is 6.5/10. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, off-road capability, and the way it blends ruggedness with technology. The Gladiator also stands out for its distinctive truck-and-Jeep personality, plus the utility of its open bed and removable top and doors. On the trade-off side, the expert review points to poor fuel economy and a noisy cabin, along with a high price. That makes it a better fit if you want a midsize truck with real character and capability rather than the quietest or most value-focused daily driver.

Good and great deals account for 33.6% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in everyday use, with many drivers highlighting its ruggedness and the confidence that comes from its blend of capability and technology. The expert review also describes it as a vehicle with strong long-term appeal for buyers who value its unique setup and can live with its compromises. Jeep’s first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house for some buyers, which can help early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the same traits that make it appealing — complexity, noise, and off-road hardware — can also make condition and maintenance history especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, because accident-free status is only a starting point. Prioritize a close inspection of the cabin, suspension, and any off-road equipment, especially if the truck has been used hard. Pay extra attention to signs of wear that could come from towing, trail use, or frequent top-and-door removal.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans nine trim levels, starting with the basic Sport trim and rising to the High Altitude trim. The Freedom Edition adds gloss black wheels, body-color fender flares, a winch-capable steel front bumper, steel rock rails, LED headlights, cloth seats with leather trim, and special decals. The Mojave adds Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks with external reservoirs, a 1-inch front suspension lift, 33-inch all-terrain tires, a locking rear differential, high-clearance front fender flares, and steel rock rails. The High Altitude’s Capability Package adds a winch-capable steel front bumper, steel rock rails, and a front off-road camera system.
• Powertrain: The standard engine is a 285-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. An optional 260-hp, 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 is paired with an eight-speed automatic and is aimed at improving fuel economy, though it can’t tow as much weight.
• Safety package: The optional Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. Jeep does not offer lane-departure warning or lane-keeping assistance.
• Infotainment: A 7-inch touchscreen is standard with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a USB data and charging port, and an eight-speaker stereo. An available 8.4-inch touchscreen adds navigation, connected services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Alexa integration, SiriusXM satellite radio, a portable Bluetooth speaker, and a nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The optional EcoDiesel turbodiesel engine returns 24 mpg in combined driving. The gas V6 in the Mojave is rated at 19 mpg combined, and the test vehicle averaged 17.3 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2023 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 9 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Freedom Edition, Rubicon, Mojave, Overland, High Altitude, and Mojave.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but the Gladiator’s basic setup means you’ll want to compare it carefully against better-equipped trims if you care about comfort or safety features.
• Sport S: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Gladiator experience without jumping too far up the price ladder, especially since the Freedom Edition is based on it and adds useful equipment.
• Willys: This trim gets added standard equipment for 2023, making it a stronger choice if you want more capability-focused content without going all the way to the more specialized models.
• Freedom Edition: This is the most distinctive special edition in the lineup, with blacked-out styling, steel protection pieces, and a military-themed package that adds personality and some useful hardware.
• Rubicon: Choose this if off-road capability is your priority, since the content points to serious trail-focused hardware and Jeep’s most capable 4WD setup.
• Mojave: This is the standout if you want high-speed desert capability, and the suspension hardware makes it appealing even if you won’t spend all your time in the sand. It’s the best-value choice for buyers who want the most distinctive driving character.

The optional Safety Group is worth seeking out, and the Advanced Safety Group adds the most useful driver-assistance features.

• Inventory: There are 3,997 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $33,405 sits slightly below last year's $34,496.

That softer pricing can help you if you’re buying now, but it also suggests future sellers may need to stay competitive on price. The year-round range is fairly tight, which can support resale stability if the truck is kept in good condition and presented well. Strong demand for the Gladiator’s unique open-air setup and truck utility should continue to help it stand out from more conventional midsize pickups.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star rating for frontal-impact protection from NHTSA, and the IIHS says its headlights are Marginal at best.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The available Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors, while the Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. Jeep does not offer lane-departure warning or lane-keeping assistance. The rollover resistance rating is three stars from NHTSA, which is a notable weakness for shoppers who prioritize safety.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds a new Gladiator Freedom Edition, plus updated equipment for the Willys and High Altitude models.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,211, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $33,405 average.
• It adds next-generation infotainment technology and more comfort and convenience features.

The bottom line: If you want the lower average price and strong deal availability, the 2023 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to pay more for newer tech and added convenience, the 2024 is the better path.
