Used 2023 Jeep Cherokee for Sale nearDetroit, MI

How much does the 2023 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,078 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for a compact SUV that blends everyday usability with genuine Jeep character. The 2023 Cherokee stands out if you want a value-oriented choice with all-weather traction, available capability, and a more rugged personality than many mainstream crossovers. It also offers standard 8.4-inch touchscreen and SiriusXM equipment, plus upper-trim convenience and safety features that help it feel well equipped for the class. 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2023 Cherokee’s appeal is supported by its familiar Jeep identity, everyday usability, and available capability, but its reputation is tempered by poor efficiency and transmission issues that affected early third-generation models. That means reliability-minded used buyers should treat a thorough test drive and condition check as essential before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a careful inspection of the transmission behavior during a test drive. Pay close attention to how the SUV shifts, accelerates, and behaves at low speeds, since condition and drivability matter more here than a quick visual check alone. If possible, compare multiple examples so you can judge whether one vehicle feels noticeably smoother or better maintained than another.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,078 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,027, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $23,340 sits slightly above last year's $23,233.

That small increase suggests the Cherokee has held its value fairly well in the near term, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A stable price trend usually means the market still sees enough appeal in the model to support demand. For you, that can translate into less downside risk than a vehicle whose prices are falling quickly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Cherokee’s final-year mix of Jeep character, everyday usability, and relatively accessible pricing, the 2023 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2023’s steadier market position and broader feature set.
