Used 2023 Hyundai Kona for Sale near Ohio

How much does the 2023 Hyundai Kona cost?

Prices have softened 3.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,106 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Hyundai Kona a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Hyundai Kona earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as one of the more distinctive subcompact SUVs because it combines unusual styling with a broad range of equipment and powertrain choices. For you, that means it can make sense if you want a small SUV with personality, available all-wheel drive, and a good mix of technology and safety features, while still accepting that it is not the roomiest choice in the class. The market also shows 36.1% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Hyundai Kona reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Kona’s appeal is reinforced by its broad equipment list and the fact that it benefited from a refresh that added more standard tech and safety content. Its combination of everyday usability, available all-wheel drive, and advanced driver-assistance features gives it a practical foundation for used ownership. For long-term buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s core appeal and more about choosing a well-kept example that avoids the usual wear-and-tear issues of a compact used SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Hyundai Kona?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for prior damage, uneven wear, and signs of poor repairs. Because the Kona is described as cramped inside and short on cargo space, you should also make sure the cabin and cargo area still meet your needs in real-world use. Pay close attention to overall condition, since a clean example is more likely to deliver the value and equipment mix that make this model appealing.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Kona?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Inventory: There are 3,106 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.67% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,806, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Kona's resale value?

The current average of $19,937 sits slightly below last year's $20,698.

That price movement suggests the Kona has softened enough to create a more approachable entry point for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. The model’s distinctive styling, broad equipment mix, and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when you eventually resell it. If you keep the vehicle in clean condition and maintain it well, you improve your chances of holding value better than a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Kona or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $17,613, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $19,937 average.
• It adds a refreshed look and more features.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $21,484, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $19,937 average.
• It brings a full redesign with new tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the primary pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the smarter value play, while the 2024 makes sense if you want the newest redesign and are willing to pay more.
