Used 2023 Honda HR-V for Sale near Florida

How much does the 2023 Honda HR-V cost?

Prices have softened 3.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,569 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2023 Honda HR-V a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Honda HR-V earns a 4.4/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners commonly praise its smooth ride, great features for the price, and strong value. The overview also points to a redesigned cabin and a more upscale feel than you might expect at this price point, especially in the top trim. On the trade-off side, the HR-V is not especially quick, and some drivers mention slow pickup and less-than-ideal gas mileage.

With its standard safety equipment and generous feature content, it fits you well if you want a small SUV that feels modern and well equipped rather than sporty. Good and great deals account for 38.8% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda HR-V reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the HR-V as a strong value that feels easy to live with over time. Honda also backs it with complimentary maintenance for two years or 24,000 miles, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that the same traits that make it efficient and approachable also come with modest performance, so you should pay close attention to how the drivetrain feels in everyday driving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda HR-V?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the listing has incomplete service records or signs of cosmetic repair. Focus on overall condition, especially how the cabin, infotainment, and safety systems have held up in daily use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup starts with LX, while Sport adds a more distinctive look and more convenience features, and EX-L brings the most upscale cabin treatment. The base trim is the one most likely to leave you wanting more if you care about comfort and tech.
• Powertrain: Every 2023 HR-V uses a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and a CVT. It is available with front-wheel drive or AWD, and the setup is tuned more for everyday usability than strong acceleration.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard on every trim and includes adaptive cruise control, collision-mitigation braking, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, road-departure mitigation, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, traffic-sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot information is standard on Sport and EX-L, while EX-L also adds front and rear parking sensors and low-speed braking control.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 7-inch digital gauge cluster and a 7-inch color touchscreen, with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on LX and Sport and wireless versions on EX-L. EX-L also adds a 9-inch display, wireless charging, and extra shortcut features.
• Fuel efficiency: The HR-V is rated at 28 mpg combined, with 26 mpg city and 32 mpg highway in front-wheel-drive form, and 27 mpg combined, with 25 mpg city and 30 mpg highway with AWD.

Which 2023 Honda HR-V trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda HR-V is offered in 3 trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the redesigned HR-V’s core strengths at the lowest entry price. You still get the standard Honda Sensing safety suite, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the same basic powertrain as the rest of the lineup.
• Sport: This is the trim that adds the most personality for the money, with 18-inch black alloy wheels, a more aggressive grille, black exterior accents, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, Smart Entry, remote start, and walkaway auto lock. It is the best-value trim if you want more style and convenience without jumping to the top model.
• EX-L: This is the one to buy if you want the most upscale cabin and the most complete tech package. It adds perforated leather seats, dual-zone climate control, a power moonroof, an eight-way power driver’s seat, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-inch infotainment display, wireless charging, and more premium-feeling materials.

Blind-spot information is standard on Sport and EX-L, and EX-L also gets front and rear parking sensors plus low-speed braking control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda HR-V?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,569 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,425, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda HR-V's resale value?

The current average of $23,425 sits slightly below last year's $24,335.

That softer pricing suggests the HR-V has become a bit easier to buy than it was a year ago, which can help you if you’re shopping now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend more on condition, mileage, and trim than on broad market momentum alone.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Honda HR-V safe?

The 2023 Honda HR-V has not yet been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), but the 2022 model got a five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA and mostly “Good” scores from the IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard on every trim, and it includes adaptive cruise control, collision-mitigation braking, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, road-departure mitigation, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, traffic-sign recognition, traffic jam assist, and automatic high-beams. A driver-attention monitor is also standard across the board, while blind-spot information is standard on Sport and EX-L, and EX-L adds front and rear parking sensors plus low-speed braking control.

The main caveat is that the new model year had not yet been independently crash-tested at the time of review, so you should weigh the strong standard safety equipment alongside the lack of fresh test results.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda HR-V or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model brings a redesigned look, standard Honda Sensing on every trim, and a more upscale feel than the outgoing version.

The bottom line: If you want the newest HR-V design with standard safety tech and a strong feature set, the 2023 is the better path. If you are mainly chasing the lowest possible price, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you’ll be giving up some of the redesign’s polish and standard equipment.
