How much does the 2023 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 2.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,549 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of cars to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord a good car?

With a 3.5/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating, the 2023 Honda Accord looks like a strong sedan that still asks you to accept a few compromises. It stands out as a redesigned family car that is fun to drive, has a spacious interior, and earns great safety ratings, but it is also described as comparatively expensive for what you get.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The Accord’s appeal is strongest if you want a traditional four-door family sedan that balances driving enjoyment with everyday practicality. The expert notes also point out that it is not trying to be adventurous, and that it does not offer all-wheel drive.

Trade-offs include several minor comfort issues and questionable value for the money.

Even so, 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you may still find a competitive example if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord reliable?

The 2023 Honda Accord is presented as a robust, well-engineered family sedan with a reputation for strong everyday usability and refined road manners. The expert evaluation also says the structure feels robust, the suspension filters out harshness well, and the car is easy to drive in urban and suburban settings.

The performance notes reinforce that impression: the powertrain is described as perfectly adequate, the steering has good response and detectable road feel, and the car feels nimble and responsive. The ride is also described as tactilely communicative yet quiet, which supports the sense that it is built to handle daily use without feeling fragile.

Honda also includes two years or 24,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance on new vehicles, which is a useful ownership perk if you are comparing total running costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the Accord’s higher asking price can make it harder to justify if you plan to keep it for many years and want maximum value.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Accord?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean title percentage does not replace a full records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on comfort items, tire condition, and any signs that the car has been driven hard over rough roads. It also makes sense to confirm that the features you want are actually present, since some equipment is trim- or package-dependent.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX and step-up EX are the gas-only versions, while the Sport trim and above use hybrid power. The EX adds a more upscale cabin presentation, but the base trim leaves you with a simpler setup and fewer amenities.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive. The powertrain is adequate rather than quick, and the CVT can drone under hard acceleration.
• Safety package: Every Accord has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on the EX through an affordable option package.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen, plus Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, HondaLink connected services, Wi-Fi access, an SOS emergency call button, and two USB-C ports. The EX adds an eight-speaker audio system.
• Fuel efficiency: The gas LX and EX are rated at 32 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2023 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord is offered in 2 trim levels: LX and EX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Accord formula with the turbocharged gas engine, the standard safety suite, and the basic tech setup. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but it is the least richly equipped version.
• EX: This is the better-value choice if you want a more complete daily driver. It adds a nicer cabin presentation, an eight-speaker audio system, and the option package with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, which makes it the trim most shoppers should target.

Every 2023 Accord includes Honda Sensing, and the EX can be upgraded with the additional safety package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,549 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,570, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $24,056 sits slightly below last year's $24,730.

That decline suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means the Accord is holding value reasonably well, but not strongly enough to suggest a rising-price environment.

If you buy at the right number and keep the car in good condition, you should be able to limit depreciation pain. Still, the softer trend means you should be cautious about overpaying, because resale upside looks modest rather than exceptional.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord safe?

The 2023 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Honda also says the system performs with accuracy, refinement, and sophistication.

If you want more protection, the EX trim can be equipped with an affordable package that adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The main caveat is that the lane-centering system can waver a bit in some situations, and the lane-departure warning is described as subtle rather than especially forceful.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.73% compared with last year.
• It gives you a redesigned Accord with strong safety, a spacious cabin, and a fun-to-drive character.

The bottom line: The 2023 Accord makes the most sense if you want the redesigned model year and value its mix of safety, space, and driving enjoyment. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to keep shopping for the best deal rather than paying extra for a cleaner or better-equipped example, since the market still gives you room to be selective.
