How much does the 2023 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 2.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,541 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord a good car?

With a 3.5/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating, the 2023 Honda Accord looks like a strong fit if you want a traditional family sedan that emphasizes driving enjoyment and everyday practicality. The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The Accord’s appeal starts with its fun-to-drive character, spacious interior, and strong safety credentials. It is also positioned as a refined, engaging sedan for buyers who want a conventional four-door family car rather than something more adventurous.

The main trade-offs are that all-wheel drive is not available, several comfort issues are noted, and the car is described as comparatively expensive with questionable value for the money. Even so, if you prioritize a well-rounded sedan with room for passengers and a polished driving feel, it still makes sense to consider.

36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord reliable?

The 2023 Honda Accord is presented as a robust, well-engineered sedan with a suspension that filters out harshness effectively and a powertrain that is described as perfectly adequate for daily use. The driving evaluation also notes that the car feels nimble and responsive, which supports the impression of a solid long-term commuter.

Honda’s maintenance coverage is a useful ownership perk: every new Honda comes with two years or 24,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance. That helps soften early ownership costs if you buy a used example that is still within that window.

For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is paying a premium for a car that may not deliver standout value relative to rivals, so condition and price discipline matter more than chasing the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Accord?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one priced near the top of the market. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, cabin wear, and whether the car has the safety equipment and tech you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX and step-up EX are the gas-only variants, while the Sport trim and above use hybrid power. The EX adds a more polished cabin, an eight-speaker audio system, and an available safety package that the base trim does not include.
• Powertrain: The LX and EX use a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT and front-wheel drive. Honda says the setup is adequate, but it is not especially quick.
• Safety package: Every Accord has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on the EX through an affordable option package.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen, plus Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, HondaLink connected services, Wi-Fi access, an SOS emergency call button, and two USB-C ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The LX and EX are rated at 32 mpg in combined driving, and the test car returned 28.7 mpg on the evaluation route.

Which 2023 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord is offered in 2 trim levels: LX and EX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point if you want the Accord’s core strengths at the lowest price. You still get the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, Honda Sensing, the 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and the 7-inch touchscreen, so it covers the essentials well.
• EX: This is the better-equipped choice and the one that makes the most sense for most used buyers. It adds an eight-speaker audio system, a more upscale cabin presentation, and access to the available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert package, making it the best-value trim if you want more comfort and convenience.

Every 2023 Accord includes Honda Sensing, and the EX can be upgraded with the available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert package.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Accord?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,541 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,570, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $24,169 sits slightly below last year's $24,860.

That softer pricing suggests the Accord has become a little easier to buy than it was a year ago, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, though, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim rather than assuming the model will hold a premium automatically.

Because the market has moved down 2.78%, a clean, well-kept example should still be easier to move than a rough one. If you buy smart now, you may be able to limit depreciation pressure later by choosing a desirable trim and avoiding overpaying up front.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord safe?

The 2023 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available on the EX through an option package.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.78% compared with last year.
• It’s a redesigned Accord that the experts describe as a great car made even better, with strong safety and a more modern take on the traditional family sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Accord with strong safety, a roomy cabin, and a more engaging driving feel, the 2023 is the one to target. If your priority is stretching your budget, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2023’s combination of safety, practicality, and current market softness makes it the cleaner buy for most shoppers.
