Used 2023 Genesis GV80 for Sale nearColumbia, SC

How much does the 2023 Genesis GV80 cost?

Prices have softened 13.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,169 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV80 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from owners, and the expert rating is 8.7/10. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Owners repeatedly praise the luxurious interior, smooth ride, and strong performance, and they also highlight the value it offers versus German rivals. The GV80’s upscale cabin and advanced safety features come through as recurring strengths, while the learning curve for the controls and tech is a common trade-off.

That fits the GV80’s role as a midsize luxury SUV for you if you want something upscale, flexible, and not overly complicated. The market also shows 39.1% of listings as good or great deals, which supports the value case.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle you can count on for a luxurious, smooth, and satisfying ownership experience. The expert evaluation also emphasizes Genesis’s strong warranty coverage and complimentary scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about making sure the specific vehicle’s condition and maintenance history match its premium positioning.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Genesis GV80?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check each listing carefully, because a clean market average does not guarantee a clean individual vehicle. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, confirm the service history, and pay close attention to wear on the cabin, electronics, and driver-assistance features.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Standard, Advanced, and Prestige packages shape the GV80’s equipment mix, and the base setup already includes a lot of luxury and safety content. Higher packages add more upscale touches, including larger wheels on Prestige.
• Powertrain: You get a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a turbo 3.5-liter V6, both paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive. The smaller engine makes 300 horsepower, while the larger one is the stronger choice if you want more effortless passing power.
• Safety package: Standard driver aids include forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist and follow, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and collision avoidance, and adaptive cruise control. Highway Drive Assist adds hands-on highway support, but the system can struggle when visibility is poor.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a 14.5-inch touchscreen, and the system can be paired with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and head-up display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, but they are not wireless.
• Fuel efficiency: The GV80 is rated at 18 mpg city, 23 mpg highway, and 20 mpg combined, and the expert evaluation notes that fuel economy trails some rivals.

Which 2023 Genesis GV80 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Genesis GV80 is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Advanced, Prestige.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the best-value starting point if you want the GV80’s core luxury, standard all-wheel drive, and broad safety coverage without paying for extras you may not need.
• Advanced: This is the trim to target if you want a stronger balance of equipment and value, since it builds on the base model without jumping all the way to the top.
• Prestige: This is the most upscale choice, adding the richest feature content and the most premium presentation, including the larger wheel setup mentioned in the expert review.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but the expert review notes that some features are reserved for higher trims or options.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Genesis GV80?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,169 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,228, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Genesis GV80's resale value?

The current average of $38,228 sits slightly below last year's $44,124.

That price movement suggests the GV80 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. If you purchase near the current average or below, you may have less downside left than a buyer who paid closer to new-car pricing.

The model’s strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand in the used market. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Genesis GV80 safe?

The 2023 Genesis GV80 earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, including five-star side crash ratings and four-star frontal crash and rollover ratings from NHTSA. It also received a Good rating from IIHS for crashworthiness and Superior for front crash prevention involving cars and pedestrians.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The GV80 comes with a long list of standard driver-assistance features, including forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist and follow, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and collision avoidance, and adaptive cruise control. It also adds a blind-spot camera view in the gauge cluster and Highway Drive Assist for hands-on highway support.

One caveat is that Highway Drive Assist can struggle when the sun is directly ahead, and the IIHS gave the headlights and LATCH system only Acceptable ratings.

Should I buy a 2023 Genesis GV80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 stands out for its strong value, upscale cabin, and broad standard safety content.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $44,316, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $38,228 average.
• It gets a minor refresh with a more high-tech interior and a more elegant traditional feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter buy because it combines lower pricing with strong owner satisfaction and a healthy deal share. If you care more about the newer-year updates and are willing to pay more, the 2024 is the cleaner upgrade path.
