How much does the 2023 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 5,464 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2023 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a compact SUV that leans more toward comfort and everyday usability than flash, with a roomy cabin and a more premium feel than many rivals. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a comfortable, well-equipped small SUV rather than something focused on performance or maximum cargo space. 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Terrain is described as a comfortable, practical compact SUV with good reliability scores and a cabin that feels more premium than many rivals. Its everyday strengths are usability, comfort, and a well-finished interior rather than flashy performance. For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership stress if you prioritize a straightforward small SUV and keep expectations realistic about acceleration and cargo room.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Terrain?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully so you can confirm accident status, title history, and maintenance patterns. Put the inspection focus on overall condition, especially signs of wear that could affect comfort or daily usability. Since this model is valued for its cabin and everyday livability, pay close attention to interior condition, electronics, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,464 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,120, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $23,980 sits slightly below last year's $24,098.

That small decline suggests the market has been fairly stable, which is helpful if you plan to sell later because it points to predictable pricing rather than sharp swings. A steady price trend can make it easier to estimate your future trade-in or private-party value. The Terrain’s broad appeal as a comfortable, practical compact SUV should also help keep demand reasonably consistent.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,379, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,980 average.
• It adds a rugged AT4 trim with standard all-wheel drive and off-road styling.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced shopping target, the 2023 is the stronger all-around choice because it combines stable pricing, solid inventory, and strong owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you like its more rugged trim story and can live with its compromises.
