How much does the 2023 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices are up 9.49% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,751 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, which points to very strong overall satisfaction. The review summary highlights its performance, aesthetics, and value, along with the driving experience, sound system, and convertible feature. That makes it especially appealing if you want a sporty coupe or soft-top convertible with broad enthusiast appeal and everyday usability. With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The review summary also points to a car that owners feel good about over time, with praise centered on the driving experience and overall value. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk comes down to choosing a well-maintained example and avoiding neglected cars that may carry higher repair exposure.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Mustang?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection and focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of prior damage. A clean history report matters here because a large share of listings are accident-free, but that still leaves enough variation that you should confirm the specific car’s background. Pay close attention to how the car drives and whether any warning signs show up during the inspection.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,751 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 9.49% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 85.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,728, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $33,105 sits slightly above last year's $30,235.

That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy carefully. A higher current average also means you may have less room for depreciation than you would with a softer-priced used car. Strong demand and a broad shopper base can help keep future trade-in interest healthy.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 9.49% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,014, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $33,105 average.
• It adds a more modern cabin and updated tech.

The 2023 is the better starting point if you want stronger value and a wider pool of listings to compare. If you can stretch for the 2024, you may prefer its newer interior and technology, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2023 and shop for a clean, well-priced example.
