Ford includes 20-inch alloy wheels with the Limited model and 21-inch wheels with the Platinum. ## Powertrain The Explorer Hybrid features a 3.3-liter V6 engine combined with an electric motor and battery for total output of 318 horsepower and 322 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission comes standard, though buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive (RWD) and four-wheel drive (4WD). Fuel economy ratings are low for the class, coming in at 27 mpg city, 28 highway, and 27 combined with RWD and 23 city, 26 highway, and 25 combined with AWD. ## Interior The Ford Explorer Hybrid can be configured to seat six or seven passengers, with a choice of second-row captain’s chairs or a bench seat. Standard features include leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and a hands-free power lift gate.
