Used 2023 Dodge Hornet for Sale near Nevada

How much does the 2023 Dodge Hornet cost?

Prices have softened 8.34% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 843 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for you to compare trims and condition.

Is the 2023 Dodge Hornet a good car?

The 2023 Dodge Hornet earns an expert rating of 7.83/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The Hornet’s appeal is rooted in its compact utility format, its power-and-attitude personality, and its role as a gateway to electrification without giving up Dodge’s street-focused image. It also brings stylish design, standard all-wheel drive, and easy-to-use technology, which makes it feel more complete than a one-note niche vehicle.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: the standard wheels are small, and pickup at higher speeds is slow. That means you may like it more if you value character, tech, and everyday usability over outright refinement at highway passing speeds.

There are 37.2% good or great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Dodge Hornet reliable?

The Hornet’s reliability story is best read through its positioning and equipment rather than a long track record, since it is a first-year model with a fresh design and a lot of new-brand significance. The expert data emphasizes standard all-wheel drive, intuitive tech, and a well-equipped cabin, all of which support a sense of everyday usability.

The performance notes also point to a strong, responsive base powertrain with a low, menacing rumble and quick-feeling acceleration from a standstill. On the ownership side, the cost-effectiveness notes suggest you are paying for a premium-feeling compact utility vehicle rather than a bargain commuter, so maintenance and long-term running costs may matter more than they would in a simpler mainstream crossover.

If you are buying used, the main long-term risk is that a first-year, feature-rich model can be more sensitive to how well it was maintained and how carefully its electronics and drivability systems have aged.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Hornet?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are comparing multiple listings with different equipment levels. Focus on overall condition, wheel and tire wear, and whether the tech and driver-assistance features operate as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base GT trim gets the core Hornet experience, but the sunroof is not available there. GT Plus adds eight-way power-adjustable black or red perforated leather seats, while the base trim uses black cloth seats with six-way manual adjustment.
• Powertrain: The Hornet uses a Hurricane 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. It is quick from a stop, but higher-speed passing can feel delayed.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, a rear backup camera, and a rear park-assist system are standard. The available Tech Pack adds front, side, and rear park assist, driver-attention monitoring, a 360-degree surround-view camera, lane-centering, intelligent speed assist, and intelligent adaptive cruise control with traffic-sign recognition and stop & go.
• Infotainment: Every Hornet comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, dual-phone Bluetooth connectivity, and Amazon Alexa connectivity. GT Plus adds a wireless charging pad and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: No MPG figure is stated in the available data.

Which 2023 Dodge Hornet trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Hornet is offered in 2 trim levels: GT and GT Plus.

Here's the short version:

• GT: This is the trim to start with if you want the Hornet’s core personality at the lowest entry point. You still get standard all-wheel drive, the 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full standard safety suite, so it covers the essentials well.
• GT Plus: This is the better choice if you want the more upscale Hornet experience. It adds the sunroof, eight-way power-adjustable leather seats, a wireless charging pad, navigation, and the premium 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.

The Tech Pack is available on both trims, so you can add the more advanced driver-assistance features without moving up a trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Hornet?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and comparison-minded.

• Deal availability: 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 843 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.34% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,196, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Hornet's resale value?

The current average of $22,212 sits slightly below last year's $24,233.

That price movement suggests the Hornet has already moved off its earlier peak, which can help you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value may depend heavily on trim, condition, and how well the vehicle is equipped.

Because the market is already pricing this model below last year’s average, you should expect value retention to be more sensitive to mileage and equipment mix than to broad market momentum alone.

Is the 2023 Dodge Hornet safe?

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The Hornet comes standard with blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning and lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, a rear backup camera, and a rear park-assist system.

The available Tech Pack adds front, side, and rear park assist, driver-attention monitoring, and a 360-degree surround-view camera. It also enables Level 2 autonomous driving capability with lane-centering, intelligent speed assist, and intelligent adaptive cruise control with traffic-sign recognition and stop & go functionality.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Hornet or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.34% compared with last year.
• The 2023 stands out as Dodge’s first all-new model in over a decade, with strong style, standard AWD, and easy-to-use tech.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,467, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $22,212 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid R/T option and a stronger efficiency-focused identity.

The bottom line: If you want the better value and the more established used-market pricing, the 2023 is the cleaner buy. If you are specifically interested in the newer electrified direction and are willing to pay a bit more, the 2024 is the alternative to watch.
