Used 2023 Dodge Durango for Sale nearSyracuse, NY

How much does the 2023 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices are up 7.62% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 4,119 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Durango earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its styling, powerful performance, and spaciousness. The review summary also points to a comfortable ride and strong gas mileage from the V6, which helps if you want the Durango’s personality without always leaning on the V8s.

The trade-offs are clear: some owners call out weaker interior quality, especially in the back seat, and depreciation concerns after purchase. That fits the Durango’s role as a three-row SUV for you if you want a more aggressive image and strong powertrain choices rather than the most polished cabin in the class.

With 38.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s a meaningful share of inventory that may be worth a closer look.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in daily use, with praise centered on its comfort, power, and overall livability. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for regular family duty while still getting a more characterful driving experience.

The expert review also notes that the Durango’s powertrains are backed by a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty, which helps reduce some ownership anxiety. Even so, you should still pay close attention to maintenance records and condition, because long-term ownership risk is tied to how well the vehicle was cared for.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with a V8. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear in the cabin, and whether the equipment you want is actually present on the trim you’re shopping.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SXT is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more luxury and appearance content. The Citadel stands out for more upscale cabin materials, including Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated second-row captain’s chairs.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, a 5.7-liter Hemi V8, a 6.4-liter naturally aspirated Hemi V8, or a 6.2-liter supercharged V8. The V6 is the efficiency play, while the V8s deliver the Durango’s strongest performance character.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are standard on all trim levels. Forward collision warning is standard only on the Citadel and part of an option package on other models, while lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking are standard only on the Citadel and not available on the base SXT.
• Infotainment: SXT and GT models get an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Citadel and the two SRT models get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Uconnect 5.
• Fuel efficiency: The base V6 with rear-wheel drive is rated at 21 mpg combined. The 5.7-liter V8 is rated at 17 mpg combined, the 6.4-liter V8 at 15 mpg combined, and the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat engine at 13 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Durango is offered in 5 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Citadel, and SRT 392.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it makes the Durango’s three-row layout and V6 power the most accessible. It’s the trim to consider if you want the Durango’s style and space at the lowest price, but it’s also the one with the fewest standard driver-assistance features.
• GT: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it keeps the V6 setup but adds more equipment and can be dressed up with appearance packages. If you want the Durango look without jumping into V8 pricing, this is the trim to focus on.
• R/T: This is the move if you want the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 and the stronger performance character that comes with it. It’s the right fit if you care more about power and sound than fuel economy.
• Citadel: This is the comfort-oriented pick, with the most upscale cabin content and the most complete safety package. It also gets the larger 10.1-inch touchscreen and wireless smartphone integration, making it the most well-rounded choice if you want luxury and tech.
• SRT 392: This is the performance trim for buyers who want serious speed and track-ready hardware. It brings the 6.4-liter V8 and the most aggressive driving experience in the standard lineup.

The Citadel is the trim with the strongest safety-package content, since it gets forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking as standard equipment.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Durango?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,119 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.62% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 86.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,837, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $33,562 sits slightly above last year's $31,186.

That year-over-year increase suggests the Durango has held buyer interest well enough to support pricing. If you plan to sell later, the model’s distinctive styling and performance image should help it stand out, especially if your vehicle is well equipped and in clean condition.

The flip side is that depreciation concerns still matter, particularly if your Durango has higher mileage or a less desirable configuration. Strong demand for the right trims can help, but condition and equipment will still play a major role in what you can ask.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2023 Dodge Durango earns Good ratings in the IIHS original-format moderate front overlap, side, and roof strength tests, but it receives a Marginal score in the driver-side small overlap front test. It earns a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in the side crash test, four-star ratings in the frontal crash test, and four-star ratings in the rollover test for RWD models; AWD models receive three-star rollover ratings.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are standard across the lineup. Forward collision warning is standard only on the Citadel and available as part of an option package on other models, while lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking are standard only on the Citadel and not available on the base SXT.

The mixed crash-test results and limited standard driver-assistance content mean you should pay close attention to trim choice if safety is a priority.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.62% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year stands out for the return of the Durango SRT Hellcat as a regular production model, giving you the most dramatic performance option in the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the Durango’s strongest mix of personality, power, and current-market availability, the 2023 is the year to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, you can still shop nearby years, but the 2023 gives you a clear snapshot of the lineup’s most distinctive performance and trim spread.
