Used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer for Sale nearNewburgh, NY

How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer cost?

Prices have softened 5.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,135 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns a 4.9/5 user rating and an 8.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its features, comfort, and driving dynamics, with particular appreciation for the heated seats, safety technology, and spaciousness. That lines up well with its role as Chevrolet’s entry-level SUV for 2023, where you’re getting a compact crossover that focuses on everyday usefulness and a straightforward personality. The main trade-offs are an irritating transmission and poor fuel economy, so it fits you best if you value value, comfort, and easy-to-use tech more than refinement or efficiency. Even so, 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which keeps the market attractive for shoppers.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a Trailblazer that feels dependable in daily use, with repeated praise for comfort, features, and the kind of usability that makes ownership feel trouble-free. The expert evaluation also supports that impression by describing the Trailblazer as a practical, easy-to-use small SUV with a sensible overall feel. Chevrolet’s three-year, 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty add some reassurance for used buyers, but you should still pay close attention to maintenance history and transmission behavior.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the transmission, since that’s one of the model’s noted weak points. It also makes sense to check whether the vehicle has the features you want, because some of the more desirable safety and convenience items are not standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LS is the most stripped-down version, while the LT adds more flexibility, and the Activ and RS bring more distinctive styling and equipment. The Activ leans rugged with a model-specific front fascia, standard roof rails, and chunky tires, while the RS goes for a sportier look with blacked-out trim, a mesh grille, and dual exhaust outlets. If you want the best balance of value and equipment, the LT is the trim to focus on.
• Powertrain: You get a standard 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder with 137 horsepower and an optional 1.3-liter turbo-three with 155 horsepower. Front-wheel-drive models use a CVT, while all-wheel-drive models use a nine-speed automatic.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are optional, so you’ll want to confirm whether a used example has those extras.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 7-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, a Bose audio system, rear-seat USB ports, and wireless phone charging are optional.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 29 mpg city and 31 mpg highway for 1.2-liter FWD models, 29 mpg city and 33 mpg highway for 1.3-liter FWD models, and 26 mpg city and 30 mpg highway for 1.3-liter AWD models. The expert test drive returned 25 mpg over a week in an AWD test car.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in 4 trim levels: LS, LT, Activ, RS.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it keeps the Trailblazer affordable, but it also comes with the fewest features and the least flexibility. You’ll want it only if price matters most and you’re comfortable keeping the equipment list basic.
• LT: This is the best-value trim because it opens the door to more of the Trailblazer’s useful equipment and gives you access to the stronger powertrain and AWD. If you want the smartest balance of price and everyday livability, this is the one to target.
• Activ: This trim adds the most distinctive rugged styling, roof rails, and gravel-road-tuned dampers. It suits you if you want the Trailblazer’s personality to lean more adventurous without moving into a larger SUV.
• RS: This is the style-forward choice, with blacked-out trim, a mesh grille, and dual exhaust outlets. It makes sense if you want the sportiest appearance in the lineup and don’t mind paying for the look.

The safety package is strong overall, but several driver-assistance features remain optional, so check each used example carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,135 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,690, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The current average of $20,690 sits slightly below last year's $22,007.

That softer pricing suggests the Trailblazer has already moved into a more buyer-friendly part of its cycle, which can help future resale if you buy at the right price. If you pay close to the current average or below it, you reduce the risk of taking an immediate depreciation hit. The model’s broad appeal, practical layout, and strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, with five-star ratings in the frontal and side crash-test categories and four-star ratings in rollover crash testing.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and Teen Driver. Optional driver-assistance features include blind-spot monitoring with lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control. One caveat is that the standard halogen headlights were rated only “Average,” while the optional LED headlights earned a “Good” score.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It remains the entry-level Trailblazer with a practical, easy-to-use personality.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $18,664, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $20,690 average.
• It adds a heated steering wheel and new paint choices.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $22,315, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $20,690 average.
• It improves the Trailblazer’s overall polish and practicality.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2023 if you want the best mix of price, inventory, and strong owner satisfaction. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look; if you want a newer-feeling Trailblazer and can spend more, the 2024 is the better upgrade path.
