The 2023 Cadillac XT6 is a spacious and versatile three-row SUV that offers a more affordable—and somewhat smaller—alternative to the flagship Escalade.

What’s New for the 2023 Cadillac XT6

For 2023, Cadillac’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system becomes available on the XT6. The SUV also gains some new color options, and the range-topping Sport trim gains more standard equipment, including heated and ventilated front seats and heated rear seats.

Design

The XT6 Luxury comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving up to the Premium Luxury trim adds 20-inch alloy wheels. The Sport trim also comes with black exterior accents, while the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims feature bright accents.

Powertrain

The base engine in the 2023 XT6 is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. It makes 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The Premium Luxury and Sport trims come with a V6 engine that puts out 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent through a 10-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels or to available all-wheel drive (AWD). The Sport model comes standard with AWD, as well as performance brakes and an adaptive suspension system.

The most efficient version of the XT6 is the four-cylinder engine with front-wheel drive (FWD). It returns fuel economy of 21 mpg city, 27 highway, and 23 combined. The least efficient is the V6 with AWD, returning 18 mpg city, 25 highway, and 21 combined. The four-cylinder engine requires premium fuel, while the V6 can run on regular.

Interior

Standard equipment on the XT6 Luxury trim includes tri-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and synthetic leather upholstery. It also comes with a remote, push-button start and a panoramic sunroof.

The Premium Luxury trim adds ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and genuine leather upholstery. This trim also adds rain-sensing windshield wipers and a 14-speaker premium stereo system.

The Sport trim’s upgrades are primarily relegated to chassis and exterior enhancements.

The XT6’s three rows provide seating for up to seven passengers. With the second and third rows folded, there’s 78.7 cubic feet of cargo space. With the second row in use, it offers 43.1 cubic feet of cargo space, and with all rows folded up, there’s 12.6 cubic feet behind the rear seats. A power lift gate is standard. The Premium Luxury trim adds a hands-free power lift gate.

Technology

The 2023 Cadillac XT6 comes standard with six USB ports, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Available tech features include wireless device charging and a fully digital instrument panel.

Safety

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Pricing

At the time of this writing, the base MSRP for the 2023 Cadillac XT6 is $49,990 for the Luxury trim. The Premium Luxury trim starts at $56,190, and the range-topping Sport trim starts at $61,490. The Cadillac XT6 is backed by a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.
