Used 2023 Cadillac XT5 for Sale nearKalamazoo, MI

How much does the 2023 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 4.54% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,751 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Cadillac XT5 earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its beautiful design, comfort, spacious interior, and smooth driving experience. The XT5 also stands out for its stylish presence and strong feature content, which fits well if you want a comfortable luxury SUV with broad appeal.

The trade-offs are clear: it has fairly pedestrian performance, an aging interior, and some trims have a harsh ride. That makes it a better fit if you value comfort, space, and style more than sharp handling or the latest tech.

The market still shows 32.4% good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as comfortable, smooth, and strong on everyday usability, with many noting that it feels like a dependable choice for regular use. The overall ownership experience also points to a vehicle that many buyers can count on for a refined, low-stress drive.

The XT5’s practical layout and straightforward controls support easy day-to-day use, and its value-oriented positioning makes it appealing for long-term ownership. For used buyers, the main risk is that condition and maintenance history matter a lot, especially on higher-mileage examples with more wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac XT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong. Focus on overall condition, trim-specific equipment, and signs of wear in the cabin and suspension, since some examples may have a harsher ride than others.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is intuitively laid out, offers good space across both rows, and top trims like the XT5 Premium Luxury get genuine leather, heated front and rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. Base-trim equipment is more modest, so you should compare comfort and convenience features carefully before choosing.
• Powertrain: The XT5 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a nine-speed automatic and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. It delivers decent efficiency and everyday usability, but it can sound rough under heavy throttle and does not bring much driving excitement.
• Safety package: Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a vibrating safety alert seat, and rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available, and the Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The XT5 uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a rotary controller, voice control, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless charging, and navigation. The system is responsive and intuitive, and Cadillac keeps physical controls for key functions.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four with front-wheel drive is rated at 22 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined. The V6 with all-wheel drive is rated at 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT5’s core strengths: a spacious cabin, intuitive controls, and a comfortable luxury-SUV feel. It makes sense if you want the XT5’s style and value without stretching for extras.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim because it adds many desirable features without jumping to the Sport’s higher price. It’s the trim to target if you want the most balanced mix of comfort, equipment, and everyday appeal.
• Sport: This trim is for shoppers who want the more aggressive appearance and the V6-equipped setup mentioned in the cost-effectiveness discussion. It suits you best if you want the most upscale and performance-oriented XT5 configuration, even though the model still isn’t especially exciting to drive.

Safety content notes that blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available as an option, while the Driver Assist Package adds several advanced driver aids.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Cadillac XT5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,751 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,164, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $31,422 sits slightly below last year's $32,917.

That price movement suggests the XT5 has softened, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper future resale gains if you plan to sell soon. For a future owner, the current trend points to a market that is still willing to pay for the XT5’s comfort and style, but not at the same level it did a year ago.

If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you can help protect its value better than the market trend alone might suggest. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 earns top “Good” scores in all crash test areas from IIHS, but it missed a Top Safety Pick award.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a vibrating safety alert seat, and rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available, and the Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.

One caveat is that IIHS testers found the headlights scored “Marginal,” and the car seat anchors were located near other hardware that could be confused for the anchor points.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.54% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 XT5 offers plenty of luxury experience for less money and fuss than some competitors.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,591, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,422 average.
• It carries over with minimal changes and still emphasizes comfort and upscale features.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the stronger current-market mix of inventory, deal availability, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
