Used 2023 BMW X5 for Sale nearColumbus, OH

How much does the 2023 BMW X5 cost?

Prices have softened 14.43% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,482 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 a good car?

Yes — 4.75/5 is a strong user rating for this model year. The 2023 X5 stands out as a luxury midsize SUV that still leans into BMW’s driving-first identity, while also giving you a roomy cabin, outstanding visibility, and generous cargo space. It is best suited to family use and moderately challenging trails rather than off-road driving, so it works well if you want a premium SUV that balances everyday practicality with a more engaging feel. 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 X5’s ownership story is mixed, and reliability is not a strong point overall. You should expect higher running costs, especially if you are considering V8-powered versions, and you should prioritize examples with clear maintenance records. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is ending up with a well-equipped SUV that becomes expensive to keep in top shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, ownership pattern, and service consistency. Then put inspection priority on maintenance condition, because this model year can carry higher ownership costs if prior care was uneven. Focus especially on signs of wear that could point to deferred upkeep, since a clean-looking SUV is not always a well-maintained one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X5?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,482 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.43% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,883, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X5's resale value?

The current average of $40,883 sits slightly below last year's $47,779.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, that also means resale performance will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how desirable its configuration is when you decide to sell. Well-kept examples should still attract attention, but you should not expect the same pricing strength seen a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $51,592, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $40,883 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid setup with about 40 miles of electric-only range.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with strong deal availability. If you are willing to pay more for hybrid efficiency and newer-model appeal, the 2024 is the better secondary path.
