How much does the 2023 Acura RDX cost?

Prices have softened 6.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,002 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX a good car?

The 2023 Acura RDX is a mixed but appealing choice if you want a premium compact SUV that emphasizes comfort and driving enjoyment over cutting-edge tech. It earns a user rating of 3/5 and an expert rating of 6.2/10.

The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

Its strengths are easy to see in everyday use: it is described as strong on performance, high on comfort, and a relative bargain in the luxury SUV class. The main trade-off is the infotainment system, which is called unintuitive, and that drawback is the clearest reason to test the interface before you buy.

With 36.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you room to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX reliable?

The 2023 Acura RDX is presented as a well-rounded luxury SUV that balances strong performance with comfort and a relatively affordable price. Its expert summary says it can still compete against newer rivals, and the performance notes describe a powertrain that is more than adequate for most drivers, with a transmission that does an excellent job selecting the right gear.

The ownership picture is helped by the included two years of free scheduled maintenance and three years of included data for the Wi-Fi hotspot and remote monitoring. That said, the infotainment interface remains the biggest day-to-day frustration, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is less about mechanical weakness and more about whether you can live with the tech.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Acura RDX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a thorough inspection, especially if you are shopping outside the cleanest listings. Focus on overall condition, how the technology operates, and whether the vehicle’s equipment matches the trim level you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin uses a vertical layout with a 10.2-inch infotainment display, physical climate controls, and a digital center display with analog gauges on either side. The base setup is more conventional than some rivals, while higher trims add more luxury and convenience equipment.
• Powertrain: The RDX uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and SH-AWD is available on all models and standard on the top trims.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assist. The Technology package adds front and rear parking proximity sensors, while the Advance package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.
• Infotainment: The system uses a touchpad controller with a 10.2-inch display. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto make it easier to use, and the system also includes a Wi-Fi hotspot and remote monitoring and control via the Acuralink smartphone app.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD model is estimated at 21 mpg in the city, 26 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg combined. FWD models improve by one mpg across the board.

Which 2023 Acura RDX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Acura RDX is offered in 1 trim level: RDX.

Here's the short version:

The RDX is the trim to buy if you want the core strengths of this model without overcomplicating the decision. It gives you the standard turbocharged engine, the comfort-and-performance balance that defines the vehicle, and the safety equipment that helps make it appealing in the first place. If you want more convenience and luxury features, the Technology package is the best-value step up, while the Advance package is for shoppers who want the most complete luxury experience.

The safety package note matters here: the Technology package adds front and rear parking proximity sensors, and the Advance package adds a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Acura RDX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,002 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2023 Acura RDX's resale value?

The current average of $34,497 sits slightly below last year's $37,039.

That decline suggests the RDX has become more attractive to used buyers than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect the market to reward clean condition, strong equipment, and a well-documented history more than simple age alone.

For a future seller, the current price trend is a reminder that value can move quickly in this segment. If you buy well now and keep the vehicle in excellent shape, you improve your odds of recovering more of your investment later.

Is the 2023 Acura RDX safe?

The 2023 Acura RDX earns five-out-of-five stars for overall and side crash protection from NHTSA, and four stars for frontal and rollover protection. The IIHS gave it its highest score of "good" across the board and named it a Top Safety Pick+, its highest honor.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard advanced safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assist. The Technology package adds front and rear parking proximity sensors, while the Advance package includes a surround-view camera system and a head-up display.

The lane-keep assist can tug against your hands in gentle curves, so it may feel better suited to straight highway driving than to more winding roads.

Should I buy a 2023 Acura RDX or consider a different year?

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.86% compared with last year.
• The 2023 stands out for its strong performance, high levels of comfort, and relatively affordable price.

• It balances driving enjoyment with everyday usefulness.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market value story and the year’s highlighted safety and comfort strengths, the 2023 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path.
