Used 2022 Volvo XC60 for Sale nearNew York, NY

How much does the 2022 Volvo XC60 cost?

Prices have softened 15.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,294 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Volvo XC60 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Volvo XC60 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth driving experience, comfort, and high-quality features, and many also like the sporty options and advanced technology. In practice, that lines up well with a luxury crossover that emphasizes a polished ride, distinctive styling, and a tech-forward cabin.

The main trade-offs are value and cargo space, so you should expect to pay for the premium experience and not count on class-leading utility. Even so, the XC60’s broad trim range makes it easy to tailor the SUV to your priorities, from mainstream luxury to a sportier setup.

Good and great deals account for 37.4% of listings, which is a healthy sign that you can still find competitive pricing.

Is the 2022 Volvo XC60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort, quality, and the kind of long-term appeal that makes the XC60 easy to live with. The expert evaluation also emphasizes solid engineering and a calm, relaxed driving character, which supports the impression of a well-sorted SUV.

Volvo also backs the XC60 with a four-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty and a four-year, 50,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that premium features and electrified hardware can be costly to maintain if the vehicle has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Volvo XC60?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not universal. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear, electronics, and any signs of deferred maintenance. It also helps to compare trim equipment closely, since the XC60’s value depends heavily on how much of the desirable tech and comfort gear is included.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The B5 mild hybrid comes in Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription trims, while the B6 mild hybrid skips the base Momentum trim. The Inscription trim level gets Nappa leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the R-Design leans sportier in appearance and feel.
• Powertrain: The B5 and B6 mild-hybrid setups both use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt electrical system and integrated starter generator. The B6 adds an electric supercharger and is only available with AWD, while the B5 can be had with FWD or AWD.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic post-collision braking, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert. Ready to Drive Notification and Emergency Stop Assist are new for 2022, and Pilot Assist is available as part of an option package.
• Infotainment: The XC60 uses a 9-inch touchscreen with Android Automotive, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth, a built-in WiFi hotspot, Google Assistant, Google Maps, OTA software updates, and full iPhone compatibility. A head-up display and upgraded Harman Kardon or Bowers & Wilkins audio are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The base B5 powertrain is rated at 26 mpg combined, with 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway in FWD form, while the AWD version is rated at 24 mpg combined, with 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. The B6 is rated at 24 mpg combined, with 21 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

Should I buy a 2022 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds new mild-hybrid powertrains, updated styling, and Android-based infotainment.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,756, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,935 average.
• It emphasizes luxury appointments, safety, and a comfortable, stylish driving experience.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,972, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,935 average.
• It adds a more compelling plug-in hybrid setup with electric-only driving and reduced range anxiety.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the updated tech and powertrain lineup at a softened used-car price. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you specifically want the plug-in hybrid upgrade.
