Used 2022 Volvo XC60 for Sale nearEl Paso, TX

How much does the 2022 Volvo XC60 cost?

Prices have softened 15.64% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,232 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Volvo XC60 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Volvo XC60 earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Performance and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its smooth driving experience, comfort, and high-quality features, and many also like its sporty options and advanced technology. In practical terms, that lines up well with the XC60’s role as a stylish luxury crossover that aims to feel polished and modern without being flashy.

The main trade-offs are poor value for money and limited cargo space. Even so, if you want a premium SUV with multiple powertrain choices and a strong safety focus, the XC60 fits that use case well.

Only 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than broadly discounted.

Is the 2022 Volvo XC60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as smooth, comfortable, and high-quality, which supports the impression that it’s a dependable luxury SUV for everyday use. The expert evaluation also emphasizes solid engineering and a calm, relaxed driving character, which reinforces the sense that the XC60 is built to be easy to live with over time.

Volvo also backs the XC60 with a four-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty and a four-year, 50,000-mile powertrain warranty. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that luxury ownership costs can still add up if maintenance or repairs fall outside warranty coverage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Volvo XC60?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not guarantee perfect condition. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has higher mileage, optional equipment, or signs of heavy use. Focus on overall condition, service records, and whether the vehicle’s features work as expected.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The XC60’s interior is clean and restrained, but the base setup is more subdued than higher trims. The Inscription trim level adds Nappa leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, while the R-Design test car brought more visual flair with aluminum mesh speaker grilles and textured seats.
• Powertrain: The 2022 XC60 uses new B5 and B6 mild-hybrid powertrains built around a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a 48-volt electrical system. The B6 adds an electric supercharger, and the plug-in hybrid remains available for buyers who want more electrification.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic post-collision braking, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert. Pilot Assist is available as part of an option package, not standard.
• Infotainment: The XC60 uses a 9-inch touchscreen with Android Automotive, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth, a built-in WiFi hotspot, wireless-style Google integration through Google Assistant and Google Maps, and over-the-air software updates. Apple compatibility is included, but Google-profile syncing is not.
• Fuel efficiency: The base B5 powertrain is rated at 26 mpg combined, with 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway in FWD form, while the AWD B5 returns 24 mpg combined, with 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. The AWD-only B6 is rated at 24 mpg combined, with 21 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Volvo XC60 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Volvo XC60 is offered in 6 trim levels: B5 Momentum, B5 R-Design, B5 Inscription, B6 R-Design, B6 Inscription, and Polestar Engineered.

Here's the short version:

• B5 Momentum: This is the entry point, and it makes the most sense if you want the XC60’s core style, safety, and tech without stretching the budget. It’s the trim to start with if you value the model’s design and standard equipment more than extra luxury touches.
• B5 R-Design: This trim adds a sportier visual personality and is a good fit if you want the XC60 to feel a little more expressive inside and out. It suits buyers who care about style and a more distinctive cabin presentation.
• B5 Inscription: This is the best-value luxury pick if you want the XC60’s upscale side to come through more clearly. The added Nappa leather upholstery and leather-wrapped steering wheel make it the most comfort-focused choice among the B5 trims.
• B6 R-Design: This is the stronger-driving version of the XC60 lineup, and the expert test car showed smooth power delivery and impressive body control. It’s the right choice if you want more performance without jumping to the plug-in hybrid.
• B6 Inscription: This trim combines the stronger B6 powertrain with the more upscale cabin treatment, making it the best fit if you want both extra power and a more premium feel.
• Polestar Engineered: This is the performance-oriented plug-in hybrid version, with more output, adjustable dampers, and upgraded brakes. It’s the one to choose if you want the most aggressive XC60 character and are willing to pay for it.

Pilot Assist is available as part of an option package, so check whether the specific used vehicle you’re considering includes it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Volvo XC60?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,232 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,733, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Volvo XC60's resale value?

The current average of $26,733 sits slightly below last year's $31,688.

That drop suggests the XC60 has become more affordable in the used market, which can help you as a buyer but may temper near-term resale expectations if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing momentum has softened, so condition and equipment will matter more when it’s time to list.

The good news is that the XC60 still has strong appeal thanks to its style, safety focus, and premium image. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Volvo XC60 safe?

The 2022 Volvo XC60 earns the IIHS’s highest Top Safety Pick+ rating on the similar 2021 model, and the 2021 model also received five-star ratings from NHTSA overall, with five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and four-star ratings in rollover crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, automatic post-collision braking, a driver-attention monitor, traffic-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert. Volvo also adds Ready to Drive Notification and Emergency Stop Assist for 2022.

Pilot Assist is available as part of an option package, so not every used XC60 will have it. The main caveat is that the 2022 model itself does not have published crash-test ratings yet, so the strongest published results come from the similar prior model year.

Should I buy a 2022 Volvo XC60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.64% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds new mild-hybrid powertrains, updated styling, and Android-based infotainment.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,803, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,733 average.
• It offers luxury appointments and strong safety in a more value-oriented package.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $32,678, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $26,733 average.
• It emphasizes plug-in hybrid practicality with electric-only driving and longer-trip flexibility.

The bottom line: If you want the updated tech and powertrain changes, the 2022 is the better target. If price matters most, the 2021 is the smarter value play, while the 2023 makes sense if you specifically want the plug-in hybrid experience.
