Used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross for Sale nearMinneapolis, MN

How much does the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross cost?

Prices have softened 4.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 872 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its surprising power, excellent ride comfort, and spacious interior, and many also appreciate the all-wheel drive feature for winter driving. In use, that lines up with the Corolla Cross’s role as a practical, approachable small SUV that blends Corolla familiarity with crossover utility. The main trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and uncomfortable seats. Even so, it fits shoppers who want a straightforward compact SUV with easy-to-use technology and standard advanced safety features. Good and great deals account for 34.4% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable and trouble-free, with many shoppers describing a positive ownership experience and few major downsides. The expert drive notes also support that impression by describing the Corolla Cross as solid and quiet at speed, with a powertrain that feels responsive off the line and a chassis that shares the Corolla family’s underlying platform. Toyota’s free scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles adds a useful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about whether the specific vehicle has been maintained well and whether its seats and powertrain behavior suit your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is only a starting point and doesn’t tell you how a vehicle was maintained or repaired. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the interior, since seat comfort is a known weak point and you’ll want to confirm the cabin condition matches the mileage. It also makes sense to test the tech and safety features during a drive so you know the vehicle behaves the way you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base L models get 17-inch steel wheels and a 7-inch touchscreen, while LE models add 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a moonroof is available. XLE models add 18-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, SofTex leatherette upholstery, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 169 horsepower and a CVT, and AWD is available if you want extra traction.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and Lane Tracing Assist automated lane centering. LE adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while XLE adds rear automatic braking and front and rear park assist with automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The base model gets a 7-inch touchscreen, while LE and XLE get an 8-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and wireless charging plus a third USB port arrive on LE and above.
• Fuel efficiency: Toyota expects 33 mpg combined with FWD and 30 mpg combined with AWD, with city/highway estimates of 31 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for FWD, and 29 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for AWD.

Which 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is offered in 3 trim levels: L, LE, and XLE.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the most basic cabin. You still get the standard safety suite, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the same 169-horsepower engine, but the 7-inch screen and steel wheels make it feel more stripped down than the higher trims.
• LE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds the 8-inch touchscreen, alloy wheels, pushbutton start, a rear USB port, wireless charging, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. If you want the sweet spot between price and equipment, this is the one to target.
• XLE: Choose this if you want the most comfort and convenience features, including SofTex upholstery, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, a digital instrument cluster, rear automatic braking, and front and rear park assist with automatic braking.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard across the lineup, while LE and XLE add more driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 872 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,173, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross's resale value?

The current average of $23,481 sits slightly below last year's $24,657.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer today, but it also suggests future sellers may need to stay competitive if the market remains well supplied. The current range shows that values have already moved down from a year ago, which can limit upside if you plan to resell soon. On the other hand, a model with broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can still hold demand better than a less popular alternative. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, traffic-sign recognition, and Lane Tracing Assist automated lane centering. LE models add blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, while XLE models add rear automatic braking and front and rear park assist with automatic braking. One caveat is that crash-test ratings from NHTSA and IIHS weren’t available yet in the source material, so you should rely on the standard safety equipment and trim-level feature differences when comparing used examples.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 model gives you Corolla familiarity, available AWD, and standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 in a straightforward compact SUV package.

The bottom line: If you want the most straightforward path into a used Corolla Cross, the 2022 is a sensible choice because it combines strong owner satisfaction with a softer price trend and decent inventory. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping the market for the best deal rather than rushing, since the model’s appeal is more about value and practicality than standout performance.
