There are 2,921 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2022 Tesla Model Y a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Tesla Model Y earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its impressive performance, spacious interior, and modern technology, and they also call out the smooth, quiet ride and exceptional acceleration. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want a compact luxury crossover with EV practicality, generous cargo space, and a minimalist cabin. With 28.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Tesla Model Y reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also emphasizes that the Model Y feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth and quiet driving character, strong performance, and the convenience of not needing gas. That combination suggests a vehicle many owners feel comfortable counting on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific example you choose has been cared for well and still matches the condition you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Tesla Model Y?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report so you can confirm the car’s background and spot any prior damage or title issues. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the ride quality, interior condition, and touchscreen-controlled features, since those are central to the ownership experience. It also makes sense to focus on how the vehicle presents overall, because condition will matter a lot when you compare similarly priced listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Tesla Model Y?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when you find a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,921 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.08% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 80.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,279, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Tesla Model Y's resale value?

The current average of $30,208 sits slightly above last year's $28,476.

That upward movement suggests the market continues to support this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A vehicle that holds buyer interest while prices rise tends to be easier to move when it is your turn to list it. Strong demand also helps protect value if your example is well maintained and presented cleanly.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Tesla Model Y or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 6.08% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the right path if you want a well-liked Model Y with strong owner satisfaction and a broad used-car market to shop from. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby year may give you a lower entry point, but you should compare condition, deal quality, and accident history closely before deciding.
