How much does the 2022 Subaru Impreza cost?

There are 677 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Subaru Impreza a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Subaru Impreza earns a 4.3/5 user rating, and its appeal is rooted in practicality rather than flash. The overview describes it as a practical all-weather compact car with standard all-wheel drive, which makes it a sensible fit if you want year-round confidence for commuting, errands, and rough weather. It also emphasizes affordable, practical fun, so you should expect usefulness and traction to be the main strengths. 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Subaru Impreza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a car that prioritizes straightforward capability and everyday usefulness, which generally supports confidence for used buyers. At the same time, you should factor in the possibility that many examples have been heavily used, abused, or modified, which can raise ownership risk if you do not verify condition carefully. For a used purchase, the biggest long-term risk is ending up with a car whose history or wear level does not match its price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Subaru Impreza?

At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on signs of hard use, modification, and uneven wear, since the overview warns that many examples have been heavily used, abused, or modified. A careful condition check matters here because the car’s value depends heavily on finding one that has been maintained and driven responsibly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Subaru Impreza?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 677 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.89% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 73.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,790, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Subaru Impreza's resale value?

The current average of $17,801 sits slightly below last year's $19,326.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition, because a lower purchase price gives you more room to absorb depreciation. The model’s practical reputation can still support demand, especially among shoppers who value standard all-wheel drive and everyday usefulness.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Subaru Impreza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 73.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $17,054, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $17,801 average.
• It adds standard all-wheel drive and sedan or hatchback flexibility.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and deal availability, the 2022 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in clean condition.
