How much does the 2022 RAM 2500 cost?

Is the 2022 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.81/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, comfortable ride, and excellent interior features, and many also value its towing capability and overall usefulness for work or leisure. For you, that means this model year fits especially well if you want a heavy-duty truck that can handle demanding jobs while still feeling refined and well equipped. Is the 2022 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.81/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also highlights reliability, dependability, and a truck that owners feel good about counting on for work or leisure. That kind of feedback suggests the 2022 model year has earned trust from people who use it regularly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure any truck you consider has been maintained well and not worn down by hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 RAM 2500?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition and maintenance record. Pay close attention to signs of heavy towing or work use, since that can affect long-term wear even when the truck looks clean. A careful test drive and pre-purchase inspection can help you separate a well-kept example from one that has been used hard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 RAM 2500?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop but should still move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,846 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,269, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 RAM 2500's resale value?

The current average of $42,269 sits slightly below last year's $46,554.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the truck has been maintained. Strong equipment, clean history, and desirable features can help offset broader market pressure. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.81/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.81/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $48,174, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $42,269 average.
• It adds a more comfortable, upscale feel with strong off-road capability.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2022 is the smarter primary choice because it combines strong owner satisfaction with a lower average price and a healthier deal mix. If you are willing to pay more for the newer model year’s added refinement, the 2023 is the better secondary path.
