Used 2022 Nissan Titan for Sale nearTucson, AZ

How much does the 2022 Nissan Titan cost?

Prices have softened 7.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 863 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2022 Nissan Titan a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.5/5 user-rated truck with an 8.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

The 2022 Titan stands out as a full-size pickup that feels more polished than its overlooked reputation might suggest. Its stylish design and quiet cabin are clear strengths, and the overview frames it as a straightforward truck with a standard V8 and available rear- or four-wheel drive.

The main trade-offs are that a manual transmission isn’t offered and fuel economy is poor. That makes it a better fit if you value comfort, simplicity, and traditional V8 power more than maximum efficiency or a wide range of drivetrain choices.

Good and great deals account for 35.6% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Nissan Titan reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Titan’s overview and expert notes point to a truck built around a simple, proven formula: a standard V8, a nine-speed automatic, and a conventional body-on-frame setup. The expert evaluation also describes the engine as a good one with variable valve timing and direct gasoline injection, and it notes that the truck is well-mated to its transmission.

On the ownership side, the cost-effectiveness notes emphasize that the Titan’s standard safety features alone make it worth consideration, and the truck’s straightforward mechanical setup should appeal if you want something less complicated than many rivals. The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that poor fuel economy can add up over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Titan?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any truck you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. A pre-purchase inspection matters too, especially if you’re shopping for a higher-mileage example or one that may have been used for towing or hauling. Focus on overall condition, because the Titan’s value proposition depends heavily on finding one that has been maintained well and still feels tight and well-kept.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S trim is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience equipment. The Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve stand out for their more upscale or specialized equipment, and the base trim’s feature gaps are worth weighing if you want a more modern-feeling cabin.
• Powertrain: Every Titan uses a 5.6-liter gasoline V8 with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the S, SV, and Platinum Reserve, while four-wheel drive is standard on the Pro-4X and available on other trims. Fuel economy is 16 mpg city/21 mpg highway/18 mpg combined for rear-wheel-drive models, 15 mpg city/21 mpg highway/18 mpg combined for four-wheel-drive models, and 15 mpg city/20 mpg highway/17 mpg combined for the Pro-4X.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard and includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, and rear automatic braking. Standard intelligent forward collision warning and eight airbags add to the package, but the standard halogen reflector headlights on the S and SV received a poor rating.
• Infotainment: An 8-inch center display is standard, with a 9-inch touchscreen available. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a WiFi hotspot, NissanConnect, Bluetooth, audio streaming, and a hands-free text-messaging assistant. Navigation is available on SV and standard on Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve, with over-the-air map updates included there.
• Fuel efficiency: The Titan is rated at 16 mpg city/21 mpg highway/18 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive, 15 mpg city/21 mpg highway/18 mpg combined with four-wheel drive, and 15 mpg city/20 mpg highway/17 mpg combined on the Pro-4X.

Which 2022 Nissan Titan trim should I buy?

The 2022 Nissan Titan is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SV, Pro-4X, Platinum Reserve, and Titan S Crew Cab.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it makes the Titan’s core V8 power and standard safety tech accessible at the lowest price. It’s the trim to consider if you want the simplest path into the lineup and don’t need extra luxury or off-road equipment.
• SV: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more flexibility in cab and drivetrain choices while staying below the more expensive specialty trims. It’s a smart middle ground if you want a more usable daily truck without jumping to the top end.
• Pro-4X: This is the off-road-oriented choice, with standard four-wheel drive, an electronically locking rear differential, all-terrain tires, and Bilstein off-road shocks. It also gets the upgraded audio and navigation setup, making it the right pick if you want the most rugged version.
• Platinum Reserve: This is the luxury-leaning trim, with standard premium audio, navigation, and voice recognition. It suits you best if you want the most upscale Titan experience.
• Titan S Crew Cab: This version gives you the S trim’s straightforward equipment with the more family-friendly Crew Cab body style. It makes sense if passenger space matters more than trim upgrades.

Safety Shield 360 is standard across the lineup, but the S and SV trims use halogen reflector headlights that received a poor rating.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Titan?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 863 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,751, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Titan's resale value?

The current average of $28,826 sits slightly below last year's $31,019.

That decline suggests the Titan has become more affordable for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer pricing environment than before. If you buy well now, you may have less depreciation pressure than someone who paid closer to last year’s average. The truck’s value proposition is strongest when you focus on condition, trim, and equipment rather than expecting it to behave like a high-demand resale standout.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Nissan Titan safe?

The 2022 Nissan Titan earns top “Good” ratings from the IIHS in all but the “small overlap front: passenger-side” crash test, where it received an “Acceptable” rating. It also earned “Superior” ratings for front crash prevention tech, both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 is standard, and it includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, high-beam assist, and rear automatic braking. Standard intelligent forward collision warning and eight airbags add further protection.

One important caveat is that the standard halogen reflector headlights on the S and SV trims received a “Poor” rating. Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve models get full LED headlights, but those were not rated.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 keeps the Titan’s quiet cabin, stylish design, and standard V8 formula intact.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $29,199, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $28,826 average.
• It brings a strong mix of standard power, technology, and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better current-market value, the 2022 is the cleaner pick because prices have eased and inventory is available. If you’re price-sensitive and find a well-kept 2021 with the right equipment, that can still be worth a look, but the 2022 is the more compelling starting point for most shoppers.
