Is the 2022 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Nissan Murano earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a midsize SUV that prioritizes comfort and style over outright sportiness, with a smooth powertrain, a roomy front seat area, and a cabin focused on comfort. Is the 2022 Nissan Murano reliable?

The overview points to a formula built around a smooth V6, a continuously variable transmission, and a comfort-first ride, which suggests a familiar and settled ownership experience. It also highlights solid safety performance and a cabin designed for everyday ease.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about novelty and more about making sure the vehicle has been maintained well enough to preserve that smooth, comfortable character.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Murano?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on overall condition, since comfort-oriented vehicles can hide wear in the seats, suspension, and cabin trim. Pay close attention to the cargo area and rear visibility, because the overview notes that the sloping rear window can make bulkier items harder to load. A clean history report matters here, but so does confirming that the vehicle still feels smooth and well cared for on a test drive.

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,318 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.91% compared with last year.

What is the 2022 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $21,579 sits slightly below last year's $23,689.

That price movement suggests the Murano has become more accessible for buyers, which can also shape what future sellers should expect. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have less downside exposure than someone who bought when prices were higher. The model’s comfort-focused appeal and steady demand from shoppers who want a distinctive midsize SUV can help support future interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $18,580, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $21,579 average.
• It emphasizes comfortable seating and familiar everyday usability.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and buyer satisfaction, the 2022 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path and still gives you the Murano’s comfort-first formula.
