How much does the 2022 Nissan LEAF cost?

There are 224 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Nissan LEAF a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2022 Nissan LEAF. The overview points to a practical electric hatchback with a larger battery, a more powerful drivetrain, and e-Pedal technology that supports simple daily driving. It also highlights the LEAF’s mainstream EV appeal, sharper bodywork, and useful equipment such as a 6.6-kW onboard charger and available driver-assistance features. With 41.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Nissan LEAF reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the 2022 LEAF’s reliability story is tied to its straightforward second-generation formula, practical equipment, and everyday usability rather than complexity. It also notes the battery and charging setup used in this generation, which is part of what you should understand before buying.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the car’s condition and battery-related wear align with your driving needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan LEAF?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still review the history report carefully and confirm the car has a clean record, even when the market looks healthy. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on overall condition, charging behavior, and how the car has been used. Because this model is an EV, you should pay close attention to the battery’s real-world condition and whether the car fits your daily range needs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan LEAF?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when you find a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 41.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 224 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.52% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 85.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,329, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan LEAF's resale value?

The current average of $15,203 sits slightly above last year's $14,975.

That upward move suggests the market has held steady enough to support resale value, especially if you buy well and keep the car in good condition. A model year with a firmer price trend can be easier to resell later because it signals ongoing buyer interest. For you, that means a clean, well-priced LEAF can still make sense if you plan to own it for a few years.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan LEAF or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 41.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.52% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2022 LEAF is the right pick if you want a practical, value-focused electric hatchback with strong user satisfaction and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than chasing a specific model year alone.
