Used 2022 Nissan Armada for Sale nearDetroit, MI

How much does the 2022 Nissan Armada cost?

Prices have softened 7.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,119 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Nissan Armada a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Nissan Armada earns a 5/5 user rating, and our experts give it 7.7/10.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, spacious interior, and towing capacity, and they also like the luxury feel, features, and safety options. The Armada’s large cabin and cargo room make it a strong fit if you want a family hauler or road-trip SUV with a traditional truck-based character. The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and a stereo that some owners find lacking.

That mix makes the Armada especially appealing if you want a big, old-school SUV with strong utility rather than a fuel-sipping crossover. Good and great deals account for 38.2% of listings, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Nissan Armada reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a reliable-feeling, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the Armada’s long-term appeal, performance, and durability. The expert test-drive notes also describe it as a survivor with a robust V8 and a body-on-frame setup, which reinforces the sense that it’s built for sustained use. Nissan also includes a healthy list of standard safety and driver-assistance features, which can help support confidence over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Armada’s heavy fuel use and truck-based hardware can make running costs less friendly than those of a crossover.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Nissan Armada?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has been used for towing or family hauling. Pay close attention to tire wear, brake condition, interior wear, and any signs of heavy use, since this is a large, capable SUV that may have seen demanding duty. It’s also worth confirming that the features you want are present, because equipment varies by trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base S trim gets standard LED lighting, 18-inch wheels, and a four-speaker audio system, while higher trims add more speakers, larger wheels, and more upscale equipment. The SL and Platinum stand out for their richer feature sets, and the Platinum adds the family entertainment setup.
• Powertrain: Every Armada uses a naturally aspirated 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is available.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360 includes high beam assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control with full speed range, intelligent forward collision warning, intelligent lane intervention, and rear-door alert are also included.
• Infotainment: The Armada uses a 12.3-inch color touchscreen with NissanConnect, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, Bluetooth, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Wireless device charging is standard on all but S models.
• Fuel efficiency: RWD models are rated at 14 mpg city and 19 mpg highway, while 4WD versions are rated at 13 mpg city and 18 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Nissan Armada trim should I buy?

The 2022 Nissan Armada is offered in 4 trim levels: S, SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it’s the most stripped-down version, with the basic four-speaker audio setup and fewer convenience features than the higher trims. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the nicer equipment.
• SV: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds useful equipment over the S without jumping all the way to the pricier upper trims. It also gains two extra speakers and more everyday convenience.
• SL: This is the trim to target if you want the strongest blend of comfort and capability. It adds the more premium audio setup and, importantly, the towing-oriented equipment that makes it the smarter pick if you plan to use the Armada for hauling.
• Platinum: This is the luxury-focused choice, with the most upscale wheels, the richest audio system, and the available family entertainment setup. It’s the one to buy if you want the most premium Armada experience.

For towing, the SL and Platinum are the trims to focus on because they include the trailer sway control feature.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Nissan Armada?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and enough deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,119 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,780, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Nissan Armada's resale value?

The current average of $30,780 sits slightly below last year's $33,232.

That price movement suggests the Armada has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stabilizes. If you buy at the right price and keep the SUV in clean condition, you may be better positioned than someone who paid closer to the original new-vehicle pricing. Strong demand for roomy, capable SUVs can also help support used-market interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Nissan Armada safe?

The 2022 Nissan Armada has not been rated by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite includes high beam assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic alert. It also adds adaptive cruise control with full speed range, intelligent forward collision warning, intelligent lane intervention, and rear-door alert. An available intelligent rear-view mirror can help when passengers or cargo block the rear window view.

One important caveat is that the Armada’s safety ratings have not been released by the major crash-test agencies, so you won’t get the reassurance of published IIHS or NHTSA results.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Armada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 keeps the V8, body-on-frame layout, and roomy cabin that define the Armada’s traditional SUV appeal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,631, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $30,780 average.
• It brings a freshened appearance and upgraded technology.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market value, owner satisfaction, and traditional full-size SUV capability, the 2022 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly alternative and still delivers the Armada’s core strengths.
