Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter earns a 4.4/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners most often praise its smooth driving experience, spaciousness, and good handling, and many also like how comfortable it feels in urban settings. The Sprinter’s flexibility also matters here: you can use it for cargo hauling, passenger duty, or a custom build, so it fits a wide range of needs. With 25.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively in a market that rewards patience.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort and drivability. At the same time, the review summary also reflects concerns about hidden issues on some vehicles, especially those with prior damage, so reliability can depend heavily on how well a specific van was maintained. For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s basic appeal and more about avoiding neglected examples with costly repair history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report first, especially because prior damage can affect both value and future repair risk. Then focus your inspection on condition, maintenance records, and any signs of hidden issues that could be expensive to sort out later. Because this model can be costly to own, a careful pre-purchase inspection matters more than usual.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 188 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 37.88% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 85.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $38,766, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter's resale value?

The current average of $62,141 sits slightly above last year's $45,068.

That kind of price growth suggests the market is still willing to pay for this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy well and keep the van in good condition. For a future seller, the key advantage is that demand remains visible even as prices have climbed. Strong condition, clean history, and documented maintenance should matter a lot when it comes time to list it.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 37.88% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the better fit if you want a refined, highly configurable van and you’re willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may offer a lower entry point, but you should still compare maintenance records and accident history closely before deciding.
