Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB for Sale nearSan Diego, CA

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB cost?

Prices have softened 11.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,206 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB earns 4/5 from users and 7.33/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

It stands out for packing a lot of utility into a compact, boxy shape, with seating for up to seven people and a focus on practicality over style. It also brings the performance, technology, and luxury upgrades you expect from Mercedes, though the driving character can involve compromises in daily use.

The market shows 39.1% of listings as good or great deals, which is a healthy sign if you’re shopping carefully.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GLB’s appeal comes from its practical packaging and premium feature set, and the expert evaluation also points to a strong balance of utility and upscale equipment. The GLB250 is the more sensible daily-driver choice, while the AMG GLB35 brings more performance but also more compromises in comfort and refinement.

The performance notes suggest the GLB250 is the better fit for everyday use, while the AMG GLB35 can feel firm, loud, and finicky in regular driving. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about choosing the right version and avoiding an over-optioned example than about the model’s core concept.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a higher-mileage or heavily optioned example. Pay close attention to ride quality, brake feel, and cabin condition, since the GLB’s premium appeal depends a lot on how well it has been maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GLB250 is the more practical choice, while the AMG GLB35 adds a more powerful drivetrain, exclusive vertical grille bars, and a more aggressive look and feel. The base GLB250 can be had with front-wheel drive or 4Matic all-wheel drive, and the AMG model is the one to choose if you want the sportier character.
• Powertrain: Both versions use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. The AMG GLB35 makes 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, uses an AMG SpeedShift eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and is tuned for sharper performance than the GLB250.
• Safety package: The optional Driver Assistance Package adds 12 driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies, including adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance. The test vehicle lacked that package, along with evasive steering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic warning, and Active Emergency Stop Assist.
• Infotainment: MBUX is standard, and the AMG GLB35 includes a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. All GLB models have Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Mercedes Me connected services, while the Multimedia Package adds navigation with augmented reality.
• Fuel efficiency: The AMG GLB35 is rated at 22 mpg in combined driving, while the GLB 250 4Matic is rated at 25 mpg.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB is offered in 2 trim levels: GLB250 and AMG GLB35.

Here's the short version:

• GLB250: This is the trim most buyers should start with because it’s the more sensible daily driver and the better value. It keeps the GLB’s core strengths — useful space, premium feel, and strong technology — without the AMG model’s firmer ride and more demanding personality.
• AMG GLB35: Choose this if you want the quickest, most engaging GLB and you’re willing to accept a firmer ride, louder road noise, and a more performance-focused setup. It adds the more powerful drivetrain, AMG-specific hardware, and the most dramatic driving character in the lineup.

The safety-package note is important here: the Driver Assistance Package is optional, and the test vehicle did not have it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,206 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,173, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB's resale value?

The current average of $26,173 sits slightly below last year's $29,618.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the GLB’s value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well it’s equipped, since well-kept examples should remain more appealing than neglected ones.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB safe?

The test vehicle did not have the optional Driver Assistance Package, which adds 12 driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies, including adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety equipment includes Active Brake Assist, blind-spot monitoring, Mercedes-Benz emergency call service, rain-sensing wipers, Attention Assist, and Exit Warning Assist. The missing Driver Assistance Package also leaves out evasive steering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic warning, and Active Emergency Stop Assist.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines compact dimensions, seven-passenger seating, and strong technology in a practical package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,039, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,173 average.
• It stands out for its flexible interior layout and optional third row.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market mix of price, inventory, and feature-rich practicality, the 2022 is the better primary pick. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the GLB’s core space advantage.
