Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview frames it as a compact luxury sedan that leans into style and technology, with a premium-feeling cabin and a modern, screen-heavy layout. If you want a small Mercedes that emphasizes design, brand appeal, and everyday usability, this model year fits that use case well. Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes the 2022 CLA as a compact luxury sedan with a turbocharged engine, a seven-speed automatic transmission, and available all-wheel drive on some versions. It also highlights a tech-forward cabin and a premium presentation that should feel familiar if you value modern convenience. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the car has been maintained well enough to preserve that upscale feel and avoid expensive surprises.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the car’s accident and title background, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if anything in the listing looks inconsistent. Focus on overall condition, especially the interior electronics, ride quality, and signs of wear that could matter more on a compact luxury car. Because the CLA’s appeal depends heavily on its premium presentation, you want to make sure the car still feels as refined as it should.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 603 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.26% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,482, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

The current average of $28,482 sits slightly below last year's $30,383.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition so you preserve as much value as possible. A model with broad appeal and a premium image can still hold buyer interest, especially when it presents well and has a clean history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.26% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $23,625, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,482 average.
• It offers sharp styling and a high-class interior.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you can find one in excellent condition.
