Used 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale nearNaples, FL

How much does the 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have softened 2.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 683 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the comfortable, luxurious interior, impressive handling, and strong performance, especially with the turbo engine. The review summary also points to the Bose stereo system and the car’s overall feature set as recurring positives.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and an unintuitive technology experience, and the expert notes also call out a cramped back seat. That makes this a better fit if you value style, driving enjoyment, and upscale touches more than maximum practicality.

Good and great deals account for 35.7% of listings, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise for the car’s comfortable cabin, strong performance, and overall satisfaction over time. The expert evaluation reinforces that sense of confidence by describing the car as refined, well put together, and easy to trust on the road.

Mazda Connect’s three-year complimentary connected-services plan adds remote functions and automatic emergency notification after a collision, which can be a useful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the car’s technology and fuel economy may age less gracefully than its core driving character.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mazda MAZDA3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any car you’re considering, because accident-free status is only a starting point. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the cabin electronics, braking feel, and overall condition, since the car’s technology and fuel economy are recurring weak spots. If you’re shopping a turbo model, pay extra attention to how it drives under load and whether the brakes feel consistent.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.5 S lineup offers the broadest range of choices, while the 2.5 S Premium hatchback is the only version with a six-speed manual transmission. The 2.5 S Select and higher add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, so base versions leave you with fewer driver-assistance features.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque, or a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder with up to 250 horsepower and 320 pound-feet of torque on premium fuel. The turbo models also come with standard AWD.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert starts at the 2.5 S Select trim, while the top 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus adds Traffic Jam Assist, reverse automatic braking, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: Mazda Connect uses an 8.8-inch static display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can help offset some of the system’s usability frustrations. Mazda Connected Services is complimentary for three years and includes remote engine starting and a car finder function.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.0-liter model returns 31 mpg in combined driving, the 2.5 S range lands between 27 mpg and 30 mpg combined, and the turbo models return 26 mpg or 27 mpg combined depending on body style.

Which 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 5 trim levels: Mazda3 2.0, Mazda3 2.5 S, Mazda3 2.5 S Select, Mazda3 2.5 S Premium, and Mazda3 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Mazda3 2.0: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the lineup, but it is also the least powerful choice. It makes sense if your priority is basic Mazda3 style and efficiency rather than performance or extra equipment.
• Mazda3 2.5 S: This is the best-value starting point for most shoppers because it brings the stronger 2.5-liter engine and opens the door to the broader 2.5 S lineup. If you want the core Mazda3 experience without stretching to turbo pricing, this is the trim to focus on.
• Mazda3 2.5 S Select: This is the smart step-up if you want more everyday safety equipment, since it adds blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. It suits buyers who want a more complete feature set without jumping to the top of the range.
• Mazda3 2.5 S Premium: This is the trim to choose if you want the manual-transmission hatchback, which makes it the enthusiast pick in the non-turbo lineup. It also gives you a more distinctive setup if you value driver involvement over pure convenience.
• Mazda3 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus: This is the top choice if you want the strongest performance and the most advanced equipment, including Traffic Jam Assist, reverse automatic braking, and a surround-view camera system. It is the right pick if you want the most fully equipped Mazda3 and are willing to pay for it.

The safety-package step-up starts with the 2.5 S Select trim, so that’s the key cutoff if driver-assistance coverage matters to you.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. Should I buy a 2022 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds the Carbon Edition, Turbo wiper de-icer, and a new paint color.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,503, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $20,782 average.
• It emphasizes a more mature, upscale feel with boosted turbo performance.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,307, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $20,782 average.
• It leans harder into luxury-like refinement and hatchback practicality.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and desirability, the 2022 is the one to target. If you’re shopping on a tighter budget, the 2021 is the value play; if you want a newer-feeling, more premium small car and can spend more, the 2023 is worth a look.
