Used 2022 Lexus NX for Sale near Michigan

How much does the 2022 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 5.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

With 931 listings available, you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Lexus NX earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

The redesigned NX is aimed at a young, affluent, diverse, and tech-savvy buyer, and it backs that up with stylish design, advanced technology, and standard safety features. It also feels more dynamic and more modern than the model it replaces, which helps it stand out if you want a premium compact SUV with a contemporary personality.

The trade-offs are that it can be noisy, its off-road capability is poor, and it lacks a physical tuning knob. Even so, the overall package is distinctive if you value design and features as much as traditional luxury comfort.

39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 NX is built around Lexus’s pillars of bold design, advanced technology, electrification, and Lexus Driving Signature, and the expert evaluation describes it as a more attractive, more dynamic, and more technologically advanced SUV than the one it replaces. That combination points to a model that should feel modern and well thought out in daily use.

The performance evaluation also describes the NX as composed and capable, with the turbocharged version feeling smooth, responsive, and athletic enough for enjoyable driving. On the ownership side, the connected-service setup includes Service Connect with maintenance reminders, which can help you stay on top of routine upkeep.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a tech-heavy SUV can be more frustrating if features, screens, or subscriptions have been neglected by a previous owner.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more equipment. Focus on how the cabin electronics, controls, and driver-assistance features operate in real use, since this NX leans heavily on technology. It’s also worth paying close attention to overall condition, because the model’s appeal depends a lot on whether the interior and features still feel fresh.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX lineup includes base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury trims across the model series. The base setup gets the core design and technology, while Premium adds more safety equipment, and Luxury brings real leather and open-pore wood trim. The F Sport stands out with a unique mesh-pattern grille, black exterior accents, sport-bolstered seats, a black headliner, unique instrumentation, and performance-oriented interior details.
• Powertrain: The NX 250 uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 203 horsepower and front-wheel drive, while the NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder with 275 horsepower, 317 pound-feet of torque, and standard all-wheel drive. The NX 350 is the more rewarding choice if you want stronger acceleration and a more engaging drive.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, Emergency Driving Stop System, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, Safe Exit Assist, and pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection. Premium trim adds rear pedestrian detection, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic braking.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard, and a 14-inch screen is available. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with Voice Assistant technology and over-the-air software updates. The system also supports connected services, and the larger screen adds navigation capability with an offline mode.
• Fuel efficiency: The NX 350h is rated at 39 mpg in combined driving, the NX 450h+ offers an estimated 36 miles of pure electric range, and the NX 350 is estimated at 25 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lexus NX is offered in 4 trim levels: base, Premium, F Sport, and Luxury.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point if you want the redesigned NX’s core styling, standard technology, and standard safety equipment without paying for extras. It makes sense if you care most about getting into the new-generation NX at the lowest price.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim if you want the most meaningful upgrade in everyday usefulness. It adds rear pedestrian detection, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic braking.
• F Sport: Choose this if you want the NX to look and feel more athletic. It adds the unique mesh-pattern grille, black exterior trim, sport-bolstered seats, a black headliner, unique instrumentation, and performance-oriented suspension tuning.
• Luxury: Pick this if you want the most upscale cabin presentation. It adds real leather and open-pore wood trim, making it the most comfort- and materials-focused version.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but Premium adds several useful features that make it the best-value step up for many shoppers.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lexus NX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop carefully and enough deal activity to make a good purchase possible.

• Deal availability: 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 931 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $35,268, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $35,268 sits slightly below last year's $37,156.

That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the market values this generation’s tech and condition. If you keep the NX clean, well maintained, and properly documented, you should be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lexus NX safe?

The 2022 Lexus NX earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes standard with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which bundles Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Oncoming Vehicle Detection, Oncoming Pedestrian Detection, Curve Speed Management, Emergency Driving Stop System, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, Safe Exit Assist, and pedestrian, cyclist, and motorcyclist detection. Premium trim adds rear pedestrian detection, adaptive front lighting, rain-sensing wipers, semi-autonomous parking assist with automatic braking, and rear cross-traffic braking.

That standard safety content is a major strength, and it helps explain why the NX is such a strong fit if you want a premium compact SUV with broad everyday protection.

Should I buy a 2022 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned NX brings bold styling, advanced technology, and standard safety features together in a more modern package.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,524, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $35,268 average.
• It remains a stylish luxury compact SUV with good looks, a high-quality interior, and agile driving dynamics.

The bottom line: if you want the newer design, stronger tech, and standard safety content, the 2022 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the smarter value play, especially if you can live with its older-generation feel.
